New 2014D VOLVO VIDA DICE OBD2ⅡEOBD Auto Car Vehicle Code Reader Scanner Diagnostic Scan Tool (Multi-languages)

NOTE!!!! The software that comes with this unit WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO LOG IN AFTER DEC 31 2017. You must turn back your PC clock to an earlier year(before you do the installation) or apply a 'patch' Google "2014d volvo vida dice login" and you will find the patch. I would post the link but I think amazon removes all outside links from reviews.I installed the software on a new VMware player virtual machine guest on Jan 9 2018 and I could not log in using "admin" or any of the other typical user names. I applied the patch I found on "mattewsvolvo" site, rebooted and now it works find logging in with 'admin'. The patch extends the software to 2099. My VM host is windows 10 Home and the VM guest is 'bare bones' with just Win7sp1, VIDA software, IE 11 in compatibility mode and my Dell printer driver. Nothing else loaded and windows updates turned off. Works great!1/10/2018 - upgraded to 5 stars now that I have it working. Some quirks-1) the reader is powered via the OBD2 connector. If you plug in just the USB connector the unit does not power up.2) The 'Diagostics' tab in the software is where you download error codes. It is grayed out unit you enter in the transmission type in the config page. I would of thought when the software downloaded the VIN it would populate this but for my 2007 S40 T5 AWD I had to manually enter it.3) The software is very complex and requires a steep learning curve to understand it all (or maybe its just me). There is factory user manual for it online. I can remember the google search terms I used but it should be easy to find.Was able to use the software to diagnose my 'Reduced Engine Performance" dash message to a fault throttle signal code "CEM-3F93 Accelerator Pedal Signal Low". Now I need to trace the wiring to find where the issue is.......

This product works flawlessly once you figure out the quirks of getting it to function! I gave it 4 stars because you have to really dig for information on how to get this device to function properly. Don't get me wrong, I do like it. I will be using it a lot!I ended up buying a used laptop to work with the Vida Dice setup. The laptop is a Dell E6440 with 4GB of Ram, an i5 processor 320GB hard drive and Windows 7 Pro.I had several issues. First, the original compatible laptop purchased from a pawn shop had a flaky USB port. I was able to return that one and get another laptop. Next, I had to delete and reload the software several times on the laptops before I figured out the real issue I was having. The .Net version was too new for the Vida device. I actually deleted the 4.6 version and downloaded the 4.0 version direct from Microsoft.I did spend a lot of time researching on various forums, general Internet searches and Youtube. I was able to find some tips (mentioned above) to get the hardware to work with the software. There are a few good Youtube videos that instruct you how to install the software on your laptop. The installation document on the DVD was useless!The whole system works flawlessly now. I have only used it a couple of times and I know it's going to be an invaluable tool as a Volvo Enthusiast who likes to work on his own cars!

Worked flawlessly. I did not use the software included. I purchased a temporary VIDA subscription and used this along with the current VIDA 2015 to program keys and remotes and perform other various software updates. It was difficult to find real reviews on this process from folks who actually used the device to download software to their vehicles. Worked great for me on a 2005 Volvo XC90. I had no functioning keys prior to this, now I have a pair of working keys and remotes as well as a fully software updated XC90.

Holy crap, this was a real pain to get the software installed. I work in IT and I seriously struggled, but that's because I tried to go with a weird setup. I have an external SSD that connects via USB3. I figured out a way to install W7 onto the external USB drive, and all seemed to go well. I went through the install instructions [...] and thought it would work. The software fired up, but I couldn't see fault codes. After a ton of trial and error, I ended up doing a normal install on a regular hard drive. Viola, success.This thing is legit and it is the cheapest one I have seen so far. Far better (albeit slower) than the iCarsoft. If you have a Volvo and intend to keep it through thick and thin, get one of these. If you have 3 Volvos like me, you'd be a fool not to get one.

This a good legit WORKING clone DiCE unit. It worked flawlessly right out of the box on my PC running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit with 4gb RAM and IE11. Also works flawlessly and without ANY issues on my Lenovo ThinkPad X120e with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, 4gb RAM and IE11. The included VIDA software had zero issues installing onto either computer and works great! I've heard many issues regarding various clone DiCE units purchased from other websites, and thought I'd bite the bullet and take a chance on one from Amazon considering they have one of the best return policies around and I hadn't really yet heard of any reviews or knew of anyone that bought one from Amazon. Mine came from Amazon seller Storm Store whom not only would I highly recommend, but I have already recommended buying this unit on here from them to others wanting to purchase a DiCE clone. The unit was very well packaged and arrived to me before the projected delivery date.
