Q: Hi, has anyone purchased both Shandali's Stickyfiber Yoga Towel and the Suede Hot Yoga Towel? Which one would you recommend? I can't decide! Thanks.

Yes, I have both. I LOVE the suede. I have about 4 of them and one of the stickyfiber. To be honest, I really do prefer the suede, especially in flow based classes. Both towels need to be wet before practice. The stickyfiber is great for slower more Hatha or Iyengar based classes where you hold the pose longer. I primarily do hot vinyasa and I prefer the feel of the sueded towel. Hope this helps!

Machine wash no problem....I hung mine out to dry though, I didn't want to ruin the sticky on the back by machine drying. It's really an awesome towel.

Q: Is it slippery when dry? is there a sticky side to grip the the mat? i am looking for something to go over my mat during buti yoga?

Hi Heather, it's a little bit slippery when dry so I usually spray a little bit of water first. It's not super sticky on one side; if you're looking for that I would go a different route. All in all, it's a decent towel but not super ideal for moving around a ton if you're not gonna sweat on it ;)

Q: Is this towel soft on one side, like a normal towel?

Normal towels, like what you would find in a hotel, would be too slippery for a good yoga grip. They'll bunch up and quickly become a trip hazard. This towel is soft to the touch, but it's not "thick" like a bath towel. Because it uses microfiber weaves , it can soak up lots of liquids without needing to be needlessly thick. This makes it great for grip in high intensity yoga or exercise routines.
