Works Well
Well made Sinwa. Sinwa is the real name for this type of fine screen strainer. It's well made and does what it is supposed to do. This is used in cooking for straining broths, or gravies and other liquids to remove any very small particles to make a better broth, gravy or other liquids

A VERY fine strainer!
This is an excellent strainer for exacting applications, where one really wants ALL the sediment removed for a crystal-clear result! It's got 2 layers of a very fine stainless steel mesh, with a supporting structure that helps to discourage denting of the mesh.But- it is NOT easy to clean- especially by hand! Our dishwasher died and we have not yet replace it- and while I am confident this would clean beautifully in a dishwasher, it was pretty hard to clean by hand.Still- I am very happy with it, and plan to make some lovely clear stocks!Honestly, though- a one-layer very fine strainer would probably work fine, and is a lot easier to clean.

Wish I had bought this sooner
I make jelly and this strainer has made the task so much easier! I also make chicken stock sometimes and again, works great. I wish I had bought this years ago. Big to store but so worth it.

Very fine mesh, but this sucker is huge
I use this to strain my gravies and sauces, and I really like the super-fine mesh. When I use this I don't have to use cheesecloth. The only downside is, it's huge. It's a monster that seems to be made for an industrial kitchen. Maybe it is, at that. I like it, it's useful, it's just kind of too unwieldy in my small kitchen. Takes up a ton of space. If you have the cupboard space, though, this is a great strianer.

really great, wish I'd gotten it years ago.
really like it it is not too big for the home kitchen, finer sieve than a strainer I usually sieve my stocks through a cloth screen didn't need to with this.

Just right for the job
I’ve been using this for six years and was inspired to write a review because I just made a veal stock and strained it through this and it worked beautifully. Well-built, not flimsy. Cleans fine in the dishwasher. A+ all around.

Wanted one for Years
I use this to strain homemade bone stock. It works beautifully and is easy to clean. I've used a normal strainer lined with cheesecloth for 25 years and I won't be going back to that now that I have this. Very satisfied.Update 7/15/21I've now used this chinois strainer for over four years and can say it holds up beautifully. I still use it every 2 to 4 weeks to make bone stock, but also for straining the seeds & skins when making homemade tomato sauce (when I want it extra silky). After using it so many times, it still looks pretty much like the day I got it. It isn't easy to store in a small home kitchen, since it's made for commercial kitchens, but if you can find a place for it, it should last for years.
