Little Cabin, big pain.
Had previously written a review that in no way hurt this shops business but was asked to "remove my review" by the shop. When I ignored their request, because I honestly didn't see anything wrong with how it was written, all of a sudden I could no longer see my review or write any new ones. Interesting. Reached out to Amazon and took weeks to resolve. My original review was similar to this. It was exciting to purchase this, as childhood memories go way back. I loved my cabin and found it relaxing. When I ordered Amazon "recommended" and had listed a box of refills sold by Paine's. I added them to the cart but they are no the same style. Burning them is extremely hard. This was clarified in a message I sent weeks before writing my old review. It was explained it is because of how their made, natural with no chemicals so burning them takes time. They fade and burn out several times before finishing. My problem was that they were not cone shaped, rather a tall pillar. They don't fit into the cabin designs. So for me it was a waste of money buying the weird shaped refills as they do not "stand up" in the cabin without falling over and potentially starting a fire.My review was pleasant, just wanted to warn others not to use the Amazon recommended refills. Make sure you buy the fat cones. Also, they used masking tape to secure the bottom and lid, it ripped their label off which I would have liked to leave on. Would prefer them not to use the tape as it ruins the woods finish.

Incense goes out, finish peels off
The incense burns out after about a minute. So you have to keep lighting it. They say it’s because it’s natural but that still doesn’t change the fact that it doesn’t really work like traditional incense. The cabin was fine, except when I removed the tape and sticker from the cabin it stripped the finish off the wood. Lol so now I have a damaged cabin that looks silly because of the clearly defined tape and sticker lines and incense that doesn’t burn. Other reviewers have posted similar comments.

Great cabin incense burner!
I bought this for my uncle when he had told me he had one like this when he was a young boy that his sister bought for him as a surprise. My aunt has just passed and that is when I learned the story. I have one myself and sent him a picture of it on my cell phone and he was so surprised! He told me he didn't know what had happened to his. I decided to order this and have it delivered to his home!!!! What a FANTASTIC SURPRISE!!!! He totally LOVES it!!!!! I really brought back some great memories for him!!! I am so glad I did that! He is elderly and said he misses being able to sit by a campfire, but this makes him feel like he is.....indoors!!

Nice but not like it was in "the old days".
I love the log cabin but not where you put the incense to burn it. The old one I had had a metal insert that held the incense. It kept it burning until it was gone but this one without the metal keeps going out and/or burning the wood.

Cabin OK, Incense Stinky in my Opinion
The cabin is cool, get the medium one, I did and it's a good size. I think the small one is tiny. OK the bad - The incense itself doesn't smell good to me. It's very strong and smells more like weed or burnt rope, not like a fireplace. I ended up getting another incense brand to use with the cabin which smells alot more pleasant. The problem with that is the cabin has a metal incense holder inside that is shaped to only fit the incense that comes with it. Now I have to figure something out to use it.
