How heavy a dog can this hold?

I think any dog over 5 lbs. would be rough. The way that the basket attaches to the handlebars is okay for light items, but this summer I noticed it moved quite frequently and the basket would drop. That was just with normal light contents. A dog, moving around, might make it a little rough.

My handlebars meet in the middle and curve upwards. How much distance do I need on either side of the center bar to be able to attach the basket?

The bracket is only about 3” wide.

Would it fit on a ladies Schwinn bike 24”

Yes it would. My bike is a 26”, but our handle bars are pretty much the same size. For assembly, there are (rubber) spacers to help fit the bracket on any handlebar. I love the basket, my dog loves it too. I think you’ll be happy with it. FYI: aluminum frame is lightweight... don’t let your bike tip over with basket on... it could possibly damage the frame if it hits hard.

Anyone is using this on a jupiter x5 e bike? would it fit?

We are using it on a 1960s sh Winn but I will tell you that it works using a clamp that screws in to tighten. Our handlebars are chunky and it still clamped down nicely
