Very Helpful!
This is a book I have and will continue to read again. There are times I listen to this on Spotify and times I sit and read this in print. Excellent!

Love it!
I have had this book for quite some time, but just read it recently. I love it so much I bought a paper copy in addition to my Kindle copy. I have other, more in-depth, books on “letting go,” but this is simple, straightforward, and inspiring. Even though the title says stop fixing yourself, it is helping me let go of trying to fix others.

Pretty Good Rerun
This book is largely a rerun of "Awareness", which was a collection of lectures and retreats given by Fr. DeMello decades ago now, but without as many amusing anecdotes.Still a very worthy read - I'm not a true afficionado but I read the occasional self-help/personal improvement book and find elements of Fr. DeMello's work in almost all of them - he was a wise man and gone too soon.

Easy read, Insightful
This book has short chapters of useful information. Anthony de Mello gets to the heart of our issues quickly in each section. He directs the reader to the exact reasons of why we feel broken, unfulfilled and sad or depressed. I recommend reading his book Awareness first. We must be aware of ourselves instead of frustrated by our negative actions and thoughts, this is how one will evolve.

A different kind of book
Probably the best book I have ever read. It is the “how to” of what the Bible teaches. The author shows you how to get rid of societal programming through awareness and how to love others the way the Bible commands us. I would highly recommend this book. Be warned some concepts may be difficult for someone who is a new Christian or someone who is very legalistic since the author combines certain eastern philosophies but it actually completely aligns with the Bible.

loved it
I read it twice while contemplating and marinating his words. I can’t wait to read other books by the author. It’s like a delicious chocolate cake that satisfies all my senses.
