Having read some of the low-rated reviews I was a bit sceptical but decided to go ahead with what the good reviews were saying and I am pleased that I did. If you want a fast, functional and solid machine, that's lightweight, slim and aesthetic, this maybe for you. It was very straight forward to set up and the only issues I've encountered are minor and all Microsoft related. True, an additional USB and C port would be handy but this is easily remedied by plugging into an external hub. My only regret is that I wish I had gone for a larger screen but it does add a bit to the price. For me, it was a good buy.

I am in love with this laptop! Worth every penny I payed for it. Battery like is great, I get at least 3 to 4 hours out of one charge, fast charging too. Touch screen aspect makes it even more fun too!

It is very fast and responsive and the screen is very clear.Battery life could be better but it charges quickly.

Buyers beware!!!This thing was delivered to me on 11th February and already it is not longer operational!!Initially it did bunch of automatic updates (using Windows Updates feature and Dell website to update the drivers) then restarted itself and it would not switch back on. After trying for several hours it finally switched on but there were lots of errors on the BIOS screen about TPM module not being found. After that it did work for few days. Then I got a message about BIOS corruption which was corrected automatically during a boot up.Today it would not switch on at all - the light next to the charger port did not even light up when charger was plugged in. It was initially blinking with amber light but then it was not lit at all.Once again I have tried for few hours to switch it on again and finally I got an error message about a corrupt BIOS and the system automatically flashed a BIOS update from recovery.Additionally every time I power it off and then try to switch it on it does not want to boot up when not connected to the charger (although battery is fully charged).It has not been even a week and I am left with a very expensive brick instead of a 2-in-1 device....

I cannot fault this laptop. It’s light, portable and the convenience of changing it from a laptop to almost a tablet is really great. A lot of my work is on the go and this suits me perfectly. Highly recommend!!

Really good for the value of money. One of the best specs.

Edit: updating this review since amazon updated the title (have removed backlit from the title)The keyboard is not backlit. Several others have pointed out that only certain models come with a backlit keyboard. Why on earth does a laptop in 2021 not have backlit keyboard by default?Pros:- has a 180 degree rotational display so you can fold it like a tablet.- slim profile and looks fantasticCons:- Screen brightness is very poor. Even at maximum brightness it looked quite dim.- No backlit keyboard (on the model I purchased) so you'd need to have a light on if you want to type during the dark.Overall, the fact that this laptop does not have a backlit keyboard makes this a hard pass, on top of poor screen brightness. If you like the laptop/tablet hybrid then you might like this, but I don't think this is a good purchase since it's missing what I would consider an essential feature. Not really acceptable for a laptop in this price range.Returned for a full refund which Amazon accepted without any problems. So customer service was excellent.

My experience with the Dell Inspiron 5000 has been good so far. I look forward to using it more
