Replaced a 1981 original with this Jico.
To be honest I'm not sure I can hear the difference. But I know the old stylus had a lot of mileage and had to be dried out with age so I chose to pick this up. Complaint? Just if I brush off the stylus brush and it pushes up, it sticks up and I have to help it to the normal low position. My original stylus did not have this behavior. Maybe this is intentional in order to play vinyl with the brush lifted.

Excellent replacement stylus
Sounds great, just like the original. Has the hinged brush/shock absorber. Very well protected in sealed plastic case from Jico.

Good sounding stylus
Pricey but you get what you pay for. Better tracking and much better sound quality than the previous cheaper stylus bought from Amazon.Took a few days to break in and I found that it worked best at 1.7g

Un amateur de 33t a le choix entre des cellules modernes hors de prix et, s'il a été un tant soit peu soigneux, des cellules du "bon vieux temps" comme les SHURE V15 IV. Problème: comment se procurer des diamants de remplacement de qualité? Solution: au Japon, chez JICO naturellement et par le biais d'Amazon le port est d'autant plus fiable! Bref, excellent produit, excellents fournisseurs! Satisfaction sur toute la ligne!
