Q: What do they mean by organically flavored? Very confusing

To further clarify what Nixie is saying: This product uses the 'essence' of organic fruits and herbs, as opposed to actually incorporating more of the whole food. It's like putting whole lemon slices in your water instead of lemon juice. This is why it's zero calories and usually is only lightly flavored which some people like. I personally prefer a stronger flavor so I look for drinks that use actual fruit juice, which means they'll be at least a few calories.

Q: Do these have that "soda" taste? With some sweetness? Or are they like plain tonic water?

It’s a type of flavored seltzer; it doesn’t taste like tonic water (judging by the watermelon mint & lime ginger varieties). It doesn’t taste like soda either. There’s no sugar, HFCS, aspartame, ace-k, splenda, stevia etc., so it won’t help if you need sweetness. Seltzer lacks the acidulants (eg. Citric acid, Phosphoric acid, Malic acid) used to intensify flavorings in soft drinks, so expect MUCH lighter flavor compared to soda. IMO it’s still enjoyable; there’s no taste that must be covered up, so it doesn’t need sweetener or strong flavor. (Tonics have quinine [bitter taste], Sodas have caffeine [bitter], both have sodium [salty]; so the additives are *needed* for palatability— otherwise they’d taste acrid) It’s less effervescent than plain seltzers (like Schweppes & Hal’s); the carbonation is similar to LaCroix’s. I think I prefer Nixie though since their “organic flavorings” taste more pronounced than of LaCroix’s “natural essences”.

Yes, the purified water we use is tested for PFAS and none were detected. Our water is purified using Reverse Osmosis filtration, which removes fluoride, sodium, and other impurities.
