Bissell ProHeat 2X Advanced Carpet Cleaner, 1383

I have white carpeting in a house with 3 kids under ten years old, a husband whose a mechanic and always trailing some sort of dirt and 2 dogs. I finally had enough and decided I was not ok with the carpet looking the way it did and bought a hoover dual power max. That basically did nothing for my carpeting and was returned within 2 hours. I was torn between replacing it with the bissell proheat 2x and the bissel pet advanced. I decided on proheat 2x because it was professional grade and I have never been happier! right away it took everything out of the carpeting. Stains that had been there months were gone and it was so easy to use it made me want to clean everything i could. It only has one tank to worry about and you just plug it in turn it on and go. There is one design flaw I found but compared to the results I could care less. The tank has a bag inside that you put the cleaner in and the outer part holds the dirty water so once the dirty water is higher up you cant see how much cleaner you have left and theres no indicator. But all you do is take a peek over the top and you can tell so no big deal worth every penny.The pictures are of the main entry and the family tramples through the first is before i shampooed at all the second i used the hoover max on the left and the bissell on the right you can clearly see the difference and the last picture you can see the carpet is flawless like the day we moved in.

ROFL!!!! If ONLY I COULD GIVE A ZERO I WOULD. JUST BOUGHT THIS AS IT WAS THE HIGHEST PRICE OF CLEANERS IN MY LOCAL WALMART! .. THE TANK IS SO SMALL I COULDNT CLEAN A SMALL SPOT B4 RUNNING OUT OF WATER. DONT B FOOLED BY THE HIGH PRICE BANG 4 UR BUCK LIKE I WAS. THESE BRUSHES ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH AND THE SUCTION ON THE HOUSE DIDNT EVEN WORK. TALK ABOUT A DEFECT.

I just purchased a home that has owners previously who had a cat and a dog. In each bedroom there is carpet, which smelled like the pets. So I purchased the Bissell ProHeat 2x. Now I read through the reviews on Amazon prior to the purchase and I believed the reviews were helpful in my decision. Now the only thing is I did not know what solutions the individuals used for the cleaning so I chose the Bissell Boost Oxy and the Bissell Deep Clean Antibacterial solutions. It worked well for low traffic areas of the carpet but I think I would need to go over the high traffic areas multiple times. I'm sure it got up dirt because the water was BLACK when I disposed of it when I was done but those high traffic areas still were dark in color. The cleaner says to go slow over the areas but you can't manage how much solution is releasing so if you go too slow and you have let's say a 12x12 room then you will use majority of the solution on one pass. So don't go too slow. I did come to notice that the hotter the water the better the result but DONT make the water too hot. I love the mobility of it and how light in weight it is. The wheel did not fall off on me like other reviewers have experienced so I'm winning for now. Easy to clean up and refill water and solution

This machine is garbage. I used it once about a year ago and it worked fine. I cleaned it, and stored it, and now the spray won't work. I've only used Bissell products, I checked the spay valves, and the tank valve, along with re-seating the tank. Primed the pump by holding down the spray lever. No change. What a joke. I just threw away almost $200 on this machine and I could only use it once. Other people have commented on how this machine doesn't spray after a few uses. Bisselll should recall this product and refund all of our money. What a joke! I will never buy another Bissell again.

My old Bissell died after nearly ten years of service. I found this one as the closest to my old machine. With all due respect to Mr. Bezos, I found one on sale at my local big box store. Bissell made some improvements in the design over the old machine, like a latch to hold the hand unit in place. It fell off too often on the old machine. And they added the heater. I think hot water cleans better. Cleaned my high traffic carpet and it did a great job, carpet looks like. As good as the old machine ever was... but, one problem they didn't fix was the heft needed to push both of these machines back and forth over the carpet. I use 20lb dumbbells 10 reps. Using these Bissell's is like doing 100 reps. But, the new design flaw was they made the water reservoir smaller. I cleaned my carpet with one fillup in the old machine, the new one took 2 and 1/2.Now, Bissell does a great job cleaning my well used carpet and in the end that's what counts.
