This packets really work! Careful with the percentage of relative humidity that you choose. 84% is a bit too much. This generates so much humidity there will be condensation in your instrument case.

I don't really smoke cigars often, but I like to have a few around just for those occasions where I would like to have one. I recently stepped up my storage game a bit and got a cheap Humidor instead of using a bag and make things look a little more presentable. After doing some research on RH levels and what you need to do to properly store your cigars these things come up quite often. So I tried a few just to see how they worked and so far they've been doing the job, and quite well. I got the 10 pack of 8 grams because I have a small 10 cigar humidor and in retrospect, I probably should have just got the 60-gram pack. These did the job though although I need like 4 of them in the 10 cigar humidor.Lesson learned though, but seriously. these are awesome even if you don't smoke very often, just keep up the maintenance which these take the guesswork out of.

Sure, these are used for woodwind instrument reeds- but they also work GREAT for small humidors to keep cigars fresh. We love 'em, have a few left and will order more when those are gone.

Boveda packs are great for putting humidity where needed. I use them in my small cigar humidors as well as in my hollow body guitars during winters. I was originally skeptical, but I've been using them for 3 years now and will not go back to distilled water or gel beads.

I use these to keep my bagpipe chanter reed from drying out. They work great with the Tone Protector

The humidity packs work well and don't go stale until a couple weeks have passed after opening.
