Gotcha, maybe
Remember when modern art hit the scene and artsy fartsy peoples tried to explain it to the uneducated. You know, a bucket of paint thrown at a canvas... ART!!! Well, this and a few others like it are the front line of the wave of wandering stories that tie everything up in the end that are coming to a theater near you. It reminded me of a football game where the first half was horrible and the last 2 minutes, each team scored 2 touchdowns apiece. What a great game. I slept through the first 3 quarters. I felt like another gotcha! Ready to turn it off and try another, but wait, let's see if something happens. It did. That poor guy was an unlucky participant. And he was conflicted about being selfish. I said, wow, they didn't make her a sex slave. Was the voice a guardian angel or was she crazy? How did they find her? How did the pimp die? Where was her ID? How would she get back? Boom. Everything fell into place. Moral of the story? Don't go baby hunting. But wait! She got her baby anyway. All's well that ends well. So what price would you pay? Now, imagine my dismay as I'm trying to break into the industry with "normal" stories and now that the vampires, trolls and zombies that took over are on their way out, aimless stories with zip tied endings are on their way in. Help.

Don't waste ur time!
I don't usually write reviews but this movie was so bad I just have to vent some.it's slow, its boring, its annoying, its tedious, and its a waste of time! There is only so much rain u can watch and/or listen too before u just start to block out the whole scene. I can understand wanted a baby so badly but at the beginning of the movie said says to her husband that to say I love doesn't begin to express how I feel about u.... U r inside of me always. But that was when she was still pregnant and everything was hunky-dory. Once she loses the baby and her husband says he can't do this anymore.... BAM! Off she goes to steal a baby from some poor prostitute with an abused and/or neglected baby. It just made no sense from beginning to end!

Movie review
A bit of a weird movie, but a solid three stars. The whole idea is the wife and husband can't have children...so why not adopt? He doesn't want to do that so she takes matters into her own hands. The first half of the movie is a bit on the slow side, but then lots of crazy things happen. I would say these crazy things probably have happened to people in real life, which I liked. The ending is kind of neat how it turns out, but not really how I would have expected it to turn out. Worth the watch.

PERFECT KIM ! Realistic but redeeming.
Unfortunately realistic in the darkness, when Americans think they are helping in her way, there have been misunderstood and terribly unexpected consequences. One similar example in a small Latin American town happened to someone we knew from Alaska. There are more. It was interesting to see this so well played out with what seemed to be hopeless and horrible to a beautiful light at the end during the credits. Every part of the acting was credible, deep work by all. It was really wonderful to see Kim Basinger again and see that her wonderful acting skills were even more perfect with the emotions so close to the surface. I hope she finds more challenging projects as she is a great talent and she just gets better with age.

Strong but Desperate Female Character Makes Good
Not a bad movie. I think the dwarf was a bit too mellow dramatic and unnecessary, and it was hard to believe that a woman could get away with all the ordeals she went through without getting seriously hurt or more likely killed. But Kim did a good job of portraying a financially, successful woman desperately seeking a child, the hard and illegal way, since she apparently could not have kids herself. She went to the baby hot spots (babies born from prostitutes and then sold) near the German border with the Czech Republic and ran into several "Bad People." The ending was good; I won't spoil it for you. I think it's worth watching if you like dramatic movies with a strong, female character.

This movie was very touching
I'm not sure what all the negative comments were all about....I enjoyed the movie from start to finish....It really was touching and moving...being a nurse i can understand the the character Kim was playing, because i've seen if often in my career as a nurse, women trying to conceive...another part that was moving to me, was the sacrifice of a stranger who had issues and had his own battles, But God utilized him in a way that was very rewarding and he was obeident to the will of God..He could've left that baby and turned a blind eye, sold her car and went on his way....but he didn't, he listened to that inner voice...i especially loved when the spirits of the children she had lost prayed and asked God to forgive her and to stand in the gap for her when she was at her weakest....Sometimes in life we tend to go through things and we feel so alone at times...Me personally,I choose to believe in God and in His son Jesus Christ, i've been at my weakest and someone stood for me when i felt like life was over...They risk themselves and prayed for me....If you look outside of the box and really look at what the movie stood for, you too would be touched.....

Wonderful Actress!!!
In my Book and in any movies Kim can do no wrong, she is especially wonderful in this movie too.Not just any woman or actress can pull this kind of movie off.I especially enjoy how she's not afraid to explore and acting in an indie type film, Indie movies/ Films are not watched or appreciated enough. Most Indie Films / Movies are about Life and the subject at hand, Lives other people live.People that we may never meet or even know exist, or know what it stands for .Indie movies are not about the money it makes or any box office reviews etc.Kim has the same touching emotions as Jessica Lange does. They both have this sacred vulnerability to them that not to many actresses do.Kim Bassinger and Jessica Lange should make a movie together as sisters etc.Your wonderful Kim.,Sincerely, Txcali
