Very good, low profile cover.
UPDATE: I've had this for over a year now. On the trips I've taken, it has held up well. My biggest issue is that it doesn't fit the iPad2 snuggly and it falls out of the case. I travel and use it knowing this and I've been able to protect it, but I'm getting weary of forcing it back into the case. I'm going to buy a different kind. This is a good product IF your pad fits it.Slim, easy to use. Looks nice. Great bargain for the price. Note: I mostly keep my iPad near the bedside - I don't really travel with it, but I took it on one trip, and it was compact and protective.

Perfect iPad Case for Business & Travel
I use my iPad for work and entertainment, and my "new" iPad "3" is my third iPad. I need an iPad case that will protect the device when I drop it, will act as a stand, but isn't too heavy as I need to carry it on frequent business trips. After searching for a case for my new iPad, and reading all the negative reviews, I decided that I would buy this Targus case for now and get something better as new cases became available. However, I've been pleasantly surprised by this case. It is slim and professional in appearance, and nicely covers my entire iPad. There are two ways to stand your iPad horizontally (I rarely use mine vertically, so don't care about that). The case is sturdy, but not heavy, and I have had no issues with it shutting my iPad off when closed. The holder in the back for your stylus is an extra bonus, I didn't think it would matter but find I like the convenience. This case meets all my needs for protection, light weight, and not ugly ( mine is blue), and is a keeper--no need to look for another case until this one wears out.

A decent case with some minor issues.
I purchased this case because I wanted some hard shell protection for my iPad, but didn't want to buy one of the Smart Cases from Apple. I preferred a case that wouldn't stain or get dirty easily, as I know the suede Smart Cases would have. However, I also didn't want a big, bulky, heavy case, and that is a downfall of most of the non-Apple cases out there.Pros: This case is not much heavier than the Smart Case. It has an attractive, durable exterior and fits very snugly onto my iPad. I liked the fact that it shipped with a free stylus. The suede interior on the front flap doesn't scratch up my screen, and the case allows for easy access to all the controls, etc. I have no problem plugging in the charge cable or adjusting the volume.Cons: The main issue I have with this case is the magnetic open/close feature. It's a great thing as long as it works, which it does... about half the time. Oh, it always locks when you first close the screen, but because of the thickness of the flap, the magnet doesn't stay put very well, so if I'm carrying my iPad or it shifts at all, I hear the screen locking and unlocking erratically. I finally turned off that feature, which is only a minor inconvenience. One other very minor issue is that the stylus holder (a pencil-sized elastic loop on the back) is a little too small to slide the stylus in quickly. I have to stretch the loop opening with one hand while I wedge the stylus in. Again, a very minor inconvenience, but if you use your stylus constantly and speed is an important factor, you may want to consider other options.Overall I was very pleased with this case. It does a good job at protecting my iPad and I have no major problems with it. I would buy it again.

Great Case
I bought this for use with the new iPad. It works perfectly, putting the iPad to sleep when the lid is closed and offering nice protection to the iPad. I know that some people were having problems with this, but mine works perfectly. A friend bought one of these from best buy and it doesn't put the iPad to sleep when the cover is closed, but Targus said they were working on it, and might have fixed the ones in production now.The front flap folds down to make a good low profile reading platform, or folds over to hook into a clasp for a higher profile, or for standing upright. The stiffer cover (and the support hook) make this more stable/better than the Apple cover for the iPad. I've had an iPad 1 and and iPad 2 as well, and I never really stood the iPad up much, as the cases I had weren't very stable. Since I got this case, I've been doing that a lot more as I feel like I can trust it to not fall over. For my iPad 2, I used the Apple cover, with a thin shell on the back. It was noticeably slimmer than this case, but this case offers more protection and it's not really that much thicker. But, compared to other cases, it's slim and seems to offer the same protection until you get into things like the Otterboxes. It doesn't weigh that much, but I find that if i'm playing Tilt To Live, where I have to flip the iPad around a lot, I notice the weight. If I intend to play for a bit, I'll pop the iPad out of the case which is trivial to do. For all other uses, I leave it in the case. And since it stands better, there are some times with my iPad 2 I'd remove the magnetic cover, where with this case, I just stand it up and let it sit.It also has a holder for a stylus, but I don't have one (yet), but it's nice to know that I'd have a place to store it, which is one of the reasons I don't have one currently.
