Clubman Pinaud After Shave Lotion, Lilac, 12.5 Fluid Ounce (Packaging May Vary)

Reminds me of my first visits to the Barbershop with my Dad.

A very refreshing splash after a good shave. There was a time when every barbershop in America used this to finish off a straight shave. I remembered it, as did my dad, and my grandfather. I'm in my 60s and it's memories and a very good product. And for all you young bucks out there, I heartily recommend you give it a try.

One of my favorite scents and my girlfriend's favorite on me. It's a perfect scent for spring or a hot summer day (my go to for a hot day.) Smells like sweet lilac with a vegetal scent to keep it masculine. Upon application the vegetal scent is very strong, but after dry down it moves to the back of the scent and is extremely pleasant. "Your scent is intoxicating, it's like lilacs and lamb sweat!"Seriously though, it's a wonderful scent and a regular on me. Even though I've grown a beard, I still wear this.

I've been using Clubman products for decades now and especially love the original and the Virgin Island Bay Rum. I've tried a few others that have impressed a bit less (Lime Sec, Vanilla) and now this oddly named Lilac Vegetal. I mean, I don't hate it. Smells a bit like like lilacs I suppose, though not in an overly feminine way. It's a unique smell for sure, but I'd put it towards the bottom of my list of Clubman scents along with the Lime Sec, which reminds me of Lemon Pledge. Glad I tried Lilac Vegetal, but I doubt I'd reorder...EDIT 7/13/24: There's something about this scent that keeps me coming back. Hard to describe, and I understand how some might detect a faint urine-ish note. I don't myself, but there is an indescribable funk/somthing mixed with the floral. Weird scent, but I must like it because I keep using it!

My dad used this product when I was a girl but he had been unable to find it locally. He does not use the internet and when we talked about this not too long ago and that fact that he has been unable to purchase it for the past 15 years, I did a search on Amazon, found it, and had it sent directly to him. He was thrilled to receive it and couldn't belie I had found it. I love the lightly scented floral notes that are classically old-fashioned, manly not feminine, and remind me of happy days with my dad and of my youth. So happy I was able to find this for both of us!! Cheers!!

when I was a kid just about every barber splashed it on me, now its hard to find...all cologne and aftershaves smell different on different people...it wears well on me...and just like the expensive stuff (and I have plenty)...the smell is strong when you first put it on...but fades to where someone has to be close to smell it's faint sweet smell....just because its name is Lilac doesn't mean it smells like a women's perfume...has a nice masculine smell

I love Lilac Vegetal. My father used it. My barber used it (when I had more for a barber to work with). I grew to love it. It has a light, subtle, elegant and sophisticated nose. I find it very masculine. It is not for everyone but there is no fragrance that is. The comments associating LV with urine are ridiculous. It would not be around nearly two hundred years later if it did. It is always well-received by others.I had been nursing along a bottle that I've had for several years thinking it was extinct so I was very pleased to find that this product is still available online because it is impossible to find in stores.
