My Favorite Strainer Ever (And Probably Yours Too)
There's a lot to love about this little tea strainer. When it was delivered and I opened up the box (nothing fancy, but effective) that the strainer came in I noticed that it was slightly smaller than I had thought it was going to be. In my case, that worked out perfectly. I bought this strainer as a replacement for my previous favorite strainer (glass) that I accidentally broke while trying to clean it. The teapot I use is relatively small and I'm glad that this strainer was the perfect fit for the hole.So where to start? It has a very fine mesh which is amazing at keeping out the dust and little leaves that sometimes pass through other strainers. I've used various strainers in the past and this one is by far the best at this task, even when using cheap loose leaf tea which usually contains a higher percentage of that kind of thing. It's the perfect fit for not just my teapot, but even using it for a single cup of tea straight into a cup worked well. I've even used it with a wide mouthed cup and the strainer still fit great. I've used as much as three teaspoons of tea and, despite its size, seems like there was enough room for the tea to breathe, although I wouldn't recommend any more than that.I love love LOVE the design of the lid doubling as a catch pan for your strainer to sit on when your tea is done steeping. I don't know how many times I had to figure out where to store previous strainers for another possible steeping or go out of my way to dispose of the tea when I'm in the middle of something else. The one thing I do wish it had was a bit of silicone around the edge of the lid so that when I pick up the lid after a tea is done steeping, the lid would actually be cool to the touch. It's not that big of a deal when steeping white or green teas with shorter steep times, but with teas that require a longer time to steep, the lid does get noticeably hot.The strainer cleans well and doesn't seem to get much of those little leaves stuck in the tiny mesh holes all along it, even after the two weeks I've been using it. All in all, this strainer was the perfect size for me and the convenience level that the lid/catch pan offers won me over. Add in how well it handles those little tea leaves from escaping and you have a great little strainer that will end up being your favorite strainer ever (probably). ;)

Happy overall
The infusers are working great but I'm a bit worried about the longevity of the product. The lid has tiny hooks/tabs which go through slots in the base. When I got the infusers one of the tabs on each lid was much too loose and the top wouldn't stay on. The tabs are very flimsy and all it took for me to bend them tighter was my thumbnail. After bending the tabs the lid stays on OK but those tabs seem like they will fail with repeated use. I use mine in a thermos and they have stayed closed all day.

Well-made, practical and versatile product
Excellent product, just as described, with a fine mesh and well made. I wanted a tea infuser that could be used in different size brewing containers, from a single cup to about a quart. This infuser is perfect. It fits nicely into a cup, holds perfectly on the top of a standard 2-cup Pyrex measuring container, and sits into a larger 4-cup Pyrex measurer. It is easy to wash loose tea before brewing. It is also easy to pour boiling water into the top of the infuser, then snap on the metal top. The top holds in place when I submerge the entire device into the larger 4-quart measuring container. The infuser is big enough to accommodate larger grain teas, such as flower-based teas. It is much more practical than a tea ball. It is a really great, versatile and practical device.

Not a bad strainer, but does leave sediments in cup especially rooibos
I like this infuser. I recently became enamored with loose tea, and needed a relatively cheep infuser. I use it primarily in my cups/mugs, but I imagine I could also use it in a larger vessel if I wanted to, as long as the handles could sit on the edges since the top does not twist on/stay on, but just sits there.Likes:-Big enough to allow the tea to bloom easily, even the bigger leafed teas-Sits easily on most of my mug sides-Cleans easily-Leaves some sediments from the teas, but not that much-Pretty well made, hasn't shown any signs of falling apart and I use it at least once a day-I like that it can sit in the cap once you brew the tea, it's easy to allow it to cool before having to clean itDislikes:-Has stained over time from some of the teas I've used (rooibos especially), not a big deal, just something to be aware of-Cap and handles get pretty hot because they're not covered in anything (some other infusers have silicone) which is more a frustration than an actual pain-The holes in this are very small and do a good job of straining most teas, but not very small teas like rooibos; If you're big on the red teas, find a super-fine strainer instead. This leaves a good bit of rooibos tea which can then over-steep, and I find myself sometimes drinking pieces of tea as a result.

Happy tea-drinker
This is a great infuser for making loose leaf tea. I've had it about a month now and consistently make tea 6 out of 7 days. Before getting this, I was having issues with a ball infuser being way too small for leaves and flowers to expand, and a hand-held strainer having too-large holes causing dust and debris ending up in my tea. This infuser's holes are very fine and virtually no dust and debris escapes. I use this for a one-cup brew.I'll also note for any connoisseurs out there that as far as tea taste goes, I will admit that I am not an expert and not sure that I would notice a difference in the brew quality when compared to other types of strainers. For my needs, I am very happy with this infuser and the tea I'm left with. The only thing I would like to see upgraded for these style of infusers is a heat-resistant lid, or a rubber/silicone ribbon around the lid to grab onto when hot; I suppose I could *not* touching the lid after brewing, but I usually like to empty and rinse out the infuser right away.
