Works for 2 X custom 100 segment LED voltmeter
Good switch mode supplying +5 and +12VDC at 2 amps. The 4 pin molex connector is compatible with older computer peripherals such as hard drives, dvd drives and cd drives. I used it for a custom LED meter display in a hand crank generator demo of my design for a major museum. So far so good. The +5VDC runs close to the spec of 2 amps at peak "crank" but since it's duty cycle is low, there appears to be no issue.

Just what I needed!!
So, SO happy I found this; even happier that it works like an absolute DREAM! I have an old IDE Maxtor HDD from 2001 that I have been trying just about every method I could find to somehow access the data on it. After a bunch of failed attempts with different methods and devices, I finally figured out that the drive simply wasn’t getting enough power. This drive needs precisely the output that this brick/cord provides. I attached this to the drive and it immediately spun up with not one single issue. Another bonus: the cords are both nice and long. This cord thoroughly made my year!!

It's a power block and it works!
I have two of these powering two very large muffin fans each. They sit behind my Wood burning stove and move air around it, they run 24/7 during the heating season. This is the first year and so far they are working well.

Does its job perfectly! way better than having to use motherboard jumpers.
I prefer to use this to start my watercooling system, its much better than using the paperclip method or motherboard clip option, IMO. Worked like a charm to leak test, and to run the system with no electronics on. just make sure your pump is the 4 pin molex, some newer D5 pumps use sata or other such options.

Does not provide stable power, its sole function for existing
The media could not be loaded. So after spending way too much time trying to troubleshoot my 3-fan controller system I realized after using a multimeter and some research it was this power supply the whole time. I should have read the other reviews, but they say it all - this power supply does not crank out the listed power and can not seem to handle fluctuations and multiple fans. If you are driving 1 fan, this MAY not be an issue, although this would not even drive a single Noctura NF-A14 6.6 W fan @ .55 Amps. You can see the thing sputtering and stopping. Garbage capacitors most likely.

Perfect for my needs, and probably yours too.
This product is a lifesaver honestly.I wanted to keep my reciever cool, and I have tons of used computer 120mm fans laying around, but with no way to give them power since they use molex connectors.Enter this product and bam, problem solved. You just plug it into your wall outlet and you're able to run any molex powered device off of it.Depending on your fans voltage rating, you can get quite a few fans running off this thing. I was personally was able to chain 4 with no issues, and now my reciever is nice and cool when it's running. This product is definately a nice quality, but I will admit the price seems a little steep to me. I feel like it could be a little cheaper. But I looked around the internet and this price was pretty consistent with competitor pricing that I could find, so I decided to order based on Coolerguys reputation being my deciding factor( I've dealt with them pretty often because I build computers and never had a problem with them). If I could have found a different molex power adapter for a significantly cheaper price, I probably would have went with that though. This product would also be good if you wanted to run some molex powered LED cathodes or lights to light up your computer desk a little. I'm thinking about ordering another one for that use.

Quality product
I wanted an external power supply with Molex connector to run an out of case diskette drive (if anybody remembers what those are). Out of the box, it appears to be excellent quality, good construction. Voltages test as specified. Powered up the drive.Important Note: There are four pins on Molex connectors for this type of power supply. The outside connectors are for the two different voltages, 5 and 12. The two inside connectors are ground. In SOME supplies only one of the inside connectors actually exists; the other is a non-functional dummy. That can be a problem. With this adapter BOTH inside connectors are grounds. The description does not specifically address that, but I verified.
