Keeps beverages cold a long time; ergonomic to hold & drink from; lasts a long time; saves oceans & animals from plastic waste
I have owned two of these for slightly less than three years (by four months) and would be totally lost without them!! I looked back at the big box where I purchased them and they no longer carried them so, of course, turned to Amazon ~_~ Yeah!! I found them. They do indeed keep your water cold for hours, even in a hot car. I take the stainless ditties off so I don't have to listen to it clang against the bottle. These are also very ergonomic to hold because they are slightly more narrow in the middle (like we all strive to be ~_>). I like that there is a flip top so when driving (or any time really) so it is easy to get a quick drink of H2O. Water flows easy from the spout; just don't suck like a baby does; open your mouth & let it flow!!. I needed new ones because the flip top cap closure just broke last week on one of them; now that's getting one's money's worth!! I use these every single day; they are ergonomic and a great size. I drink copious amounts of water so I was thrilled to see they came in a package of 3. They wash great in the DW; I put the top in the top rack & I use a brush every so often. I took a star off only because two came with a slight dent; I'd like to do my own damage ~_> I've tested all three and none of them leak. Also did you know we Americans used about 50 billion plastic water bottles last year. However, the U.S.'s recycling rate for plastic is only 23 percent, which means 38 billion water bottles – more than $1 billion worth of plastic – are wasted each year! I am happy to not be contributing to this stat as I installed a water filter system years ago and use these & other SS bottles, even when traveling, because much of this plastic ends up in our oceans as a "Great Pacific Garbage Patch", a gigantic microplastic flotsam that is killing animals and harming waters. Please help by spreading the word and not using plastic.

Great & Durable Bottle with One Annoyance
Have owned earlier Subzero stainless steel bottle (single wall), and found it very durable and rugged. But wanted something that would keep my drink cool throughout the day. This product fills the need in most excellent way!Note to all: these are not designed for the freezer. It is tempting to fill the bottle and cool them in the freezer. Actually this can work well, if you remember to remove them before the contents are up to about 50% frozen. As the bottle is so effectively insulated, that would take about 6-8 hours. However if you forget to take it out, remember that ice expands, and the inner bottle will become permanently damaged as the ice will cause the inner bottle to deform. That can happen starting at about 80-90% ice formation. One way to avoid this is to only fill the bottle about 30-40% full before placing in the freezer. Suggest to tilt the bottle about 30-40 degrees (so the liquid will be able to expand as it freezes without any restriction), but also not enter the neck/cap area). After freezing, it can be topped off with cooled liquid.Using this technique, the contents will remain cold for at least 8 hours. One issue: my old Subzero bottle used a black plastic top which is very durable and well made. The material used on this model is a different translucent plastic, and there is a molding line on the spout that leaves a rough area (extra material / flash). I found this very annoying to my mouth - the area is not smooth. To fix this, carefully sanded off the excess plastic from the front, back and top surfaces using 500 grit sand paper. (see photo and insert - sanding completed, some flash still visible at the bottom). This effort took several minutes per bottle, but the result was a smooth finish and no irritation.Note the bottle has two translucent urethane seals: one on the flip lid, which is securely captured. The other at top in a recessed area inside the screw area. Both seals seem very secure, so if you are a little careful when washing the bottle should be able to keep them from getting lost.

Love, Love! Leave in a Hot Car for Hours and Come Back to Cool, Refreshing Water- No Cooler Needed!
Best water bottles if you want your ice cold water to stay ice cold! I left this bottle in a hot sun parking lot for 4.5 hours one day while my husband and son were inside an amusement park. When I came out, I NEVER expected to have cool water to drink! I touched the outside of the bottle and it was warm-almost hot to the touch, but when I sipped it I was very pleasantly surprised that the water inside was still cool- not ice cold, but still cool enough to be refreshing and definitely cool enough to make me so grateful i had purchased these! Im not sure which part leaked on one of them after a few times through the dishwasher (after taking off the metal carabiner!) - if it was the screw top or somewhere else along the run of the bottle, but one did leak eventually- after several uses, and runs through the dishwasher as I said- I think my husband may have figured out it was the top and threw it away which would be why now we're down one top- even still I'm giving it 5 stars because other than that one leaky situation, these have been life savers so many times! I'll never buy a non-double walled stainless water bottle again! And this brand I will come back to because out of 100 times, they only let me down the one or two times it dripped/leaked: 98/100 = Solid A(+)!

Gasket issues
These water bottles are great! I've never used them for hot drinks, I use it as a water bottle and it keeps water cold for hours....BUT there's a little gasket on the lid to prevent the bottle from leaking that tends to slip off, you have to be really careful....I had to throw away one of the bottles because the gasket came off and I couldn't find it. I don't know if replacement gaskets can be purchased or not, I haven't been able to find any. UPDATE: I was able to find these gaskets at Home Depot, working out great so far. Cost was .98 for a package of 4

Keeps things cold, love the lid, outside coating scratches easily
I love these bottles because they keep everything cold for hours. I also love the small drinking hole. It's the perfect size for me and seems to encourage more sips - not sure why. What knocked off a star was that the colored coating on the outside rubs off easily. Tons of scratches already and I haven't put it in the dishwasher yet. I'd give it 5 stars if they had a plain stainless steel version without the coating.
