Rite in the RainWeatherproof 1/2" Ring Binder, 5.625" x 7.875", Black Binder (No. 7200)

I saw a review saying Munsell would fit so I went for it. I replaced the gigantic Munsell binder with this more handy-sized version and it is awesome! It is a little bit of a tight squeeze to get all of the pages in there, but it is totally useable -I will probably remove the not-so-useful gley and grain pages I don't need for my work anyway.

The binder material is thick (0.055"), sturdy and very stiff, so makes for good writing support.The metal 6-ring center is bound to the binder with two rivets, about 5/8" from each end. I bought for use as a recipe book. The binder is part of a system with the paper which are weather resistant. The 3/16" diameter holes in the paper are center to center 3/4" apart, save the 'center' holes which are 2" apart.

I was first introduced to Rite in the Rain products in the damp jungles at Fort Lewis. Since then, I have used them for military as well as civilian applications. They give you a sturdy and durable writing platform, and paper that lasts as long as you want to keep it around. Great products.

Dispite the product description saying there are 200 pieces, there are not 100 sheets of paper included. This is the binder only.

The binder, like everything this company makes is really good. It's a bit stiff to open and close but otherwise good. Buy the name's own paper so you know it fits. (I'ts a 6 ring binder) Make a back page of thicker material so writing is easier. I like it. and bought a second one. A great idea is to buy their zipper bag as well. I'd give it 5 stars if it came with a clearer description of which papers are availaible and which hole punches work well for it. (It's a tough research so PM me if you need to know what I got)

I bought the "Rite in the Rain" binder, cover and paper for my Boy Scout son to use with his Fisher space pen. I've been using Rite in the rain products for awhile at my job and thought it would be good for my son as well. Yes, it is "Rite in the Rain" , under water, milk, soda ,coffee, and anything else an 11 year old boy can spill on it which is one of the reasons I bought it. Another reason is that he is using this for scouting and I wanted it to be able to go anywhere and hold up to the wet and humid conditions here in Louisiana, and yes, even the swamp. But the original reason was because the 4 5/8" X 7" size I bought fits in his smaller Camelback and even in the same compartment as the bladder so I can utilize that compartment and not have to worry about condensation messing up his notebook. It's a great product, I definitely recommend it, and only wish his school text books where made with the same paper!

Overall I like the binder but the “hinge” points where the sides touch the spine are stiff. It won’t open and lie flat. Doesn’t really fold closed very well either. Holds paper like it should. Hard to give stars. It’s durable and sturdy, but “too sturdy” if that makes sense. It’s so annoying that it’s not that great but I’ll use it and hope it losses up, but after a month or so it has not.

Like all Rite-in-the-Rain products, this binder is very well made and ultra durable. This is my second binder purchase, so I like it even with the high price. For extra protection in the field, this binder fits the zippered Rite In The Rain Binder Cover - 1/2" - Tan #C9200.  Ring Binder Cvr, Cordura, 5-5/8x7-1/2, Tan Also check out their website for the many, many different pre-printed forms, plastic reference inserts and replacement pages for these binders. They probably have everything you may need, no matter what use you want to but your binder to, including blank copier sheets for custom forms.

This is designed for use in all weathers. The covers are hard, providing a firm base on which to write. The binder is slim, so will not take up much room in a rucksack or a cargo pants pocket. Good kit.

Typical high quality from Rite in the Rain. Does not include any pages as shown in the pictures and disclosed in the description. Still a good price.

This is same as tan and green versions same info on inside but in a more informal colour.

There are black marks (that don't come off) and dirt not the outside.There are also quite a few scuffs/marks on the outside like the binder had been rubbed up against a hard, abrasive surface. It looks like a used product that isn't in great shape.
