Is this one counterfeit since its lighter and cheaper?

No it is the legitimate product. I’ve purchased it more than once. It is only lighter I the picture.

What procedure do I use wth the cleansing gel? use a washcloth? use my hands and splash water on to rinse? Please advise. the bottle does not say.

I use Retin A , can I still use this cleanser?

I stopped using Retin A before I started using this product, so I'm not sure. When I was using RetinA my doctor told me to wash with a 2% salicylic acid face wash (which is pretty strong), and I did with no problem. This Anti-Aging Clensing Gel is mild enough for mature skin. I use it everyday and really love it. It's expensive, but I only use one drop morning and night on my sonic cleansing brush. I find that one bottle lasts almost a year.

What strength salicylic acid in the product?

Salicylic acid is listed in the first third of the ingredients. It's used as an exfoliant. I've used this product for at least 3 years and have never had a problem with any of the ingredients in this product.
