Most of the pegs are very hard to snap in even ifyou snap them correctly. However, I suggest others reviewing my comment to pad your hand below the thumb in order to push the pegs easier with that area and not use your finger to push down. Finger hurts after pushing couple of pegs.I can't wait to start on the making of the scarfs. Instruction of how is very clear with good drawing. One bonus is how the pegs are, the tunnel end should face out, which makes it very easy for the hook to go in and grab the yarn.

Push the pegs in HARD and line them up correctly
The media could not be loaded. Originally, I was bummed, because the pegs were super wonky, uneven and loose but then I realized I was putting them in wrong.1) Make sure the pegs are straight. You want the smooth part of the pegs facing inward and the ridge part of the pegs facing outward. The ridge is a track for your needle.2) Push HARD. If you don't hear a loud snap then you didn't push hard enough. Some of these are super hard to get in there, but all of the pegs should end up even. This loom is super sturdy, the pegs are firmly in and it's great quality. Not bad for the price at all.

Actually really good
So I was really nervous about buying this because I saw all the reviews about the pegs popping out but got it anyway. I too struggled with the pegs until I realized that you need to push them in until they clicked twice not just once. It was definitely a learning curve but after that It worked really well.

Not for me
I had to assemble each peg. While using, the pegs would come off. Difficult to work with. Eventually I went to Walmart and buy a better one.

Good inexpensive loom with pegs close together. Worth it
This has received some poor reviews. I did not expect the pegs to not be in the base, but it was easy enough to put them in. To secure them tightly I simply gave them a good tap with a rubber mallet. It took me 5 minutes. If you're looking for an inexpensive loom with the pegs close together, it is worth the small task of putting the pegs in yourself. I am able to use a thin yarn to make a light weight blanket without it having holes or gaps. I don't find it to be flimsy at all.

Brittle pegs, nice versatility.
I like the versatility of being able to move pegs. But the pegs are very very brittle. I broke a few trying to remove them from the board. I wish they were a little stronger, and I was being as gentle as I could be.

Scarf
When putting the pegs into place, use hammer lightly. I am making scarf and so far works great. Make sure put pegs correctly and line up straight. I took photo and hope this helps to beginner.
