ElloOgden BPA-Free Ceramic Travel Mug with Lid, 16 oz

The first time I bought this mug, I loved it with the fire of a thousand suns. Unlike the steel-walled or silicone travel mugs I'd tried before, it doesn't leave my tea tasting like I brewed it in the heel of a gym shoe, and it keeps it at the perfect temperature. Then, disaster struck. It fell out of my purse on the garage floor and shattered into a million shards. Once I stopped weeping a week later, I ordered the mug again. Mug Volume 2 must have come from a different factory or something because the lid never fit properly and the rubberized sleeve feels like someone tried to put an extra-large Trojan condom on a not-so-well-endowed guy. It falls off constantly, and gunk gets trapped underneath it in the dishwasher (I just ruined the condom simile, didn't I?) All that to say your mileage may vary with this mug. I'd buy it again, but I'd have the good sense to send it back before it's too late if I got another one suffering from floppy condom syndrome.

This is amazingly beautiful, certainly the best looking travel mug out there. The lid clips in and out easily and seems a good snug fit. Splashproof certainly, although I would not roll the mug to its side.Only four stars as the ceramic is not high quality at all, there a lots of little specks in the glazing and the top lip is uneven. Shame, for something so beautifully designed, the quality of the materials should match. I'd pay more for a better quality ceramic insert.

Large mug, so great for serious coffee drinkers.However silicone get too hot to carry, and ceramic is also too hot, so may stay hot for longer, but when it has no handle it can be dicey.The lid also is too loose fitting, good for walking between offices or going to meeting but nit much more.Will probably have to replace it.

Loving my new travel mug, although if you actually want to use it as a travel mug, there are better mugs out there. I use it at work, where all cups must have a cover over them, so it doesn’t need to be completely spill proof. The silicone outer cover means that you don’t burn your fingers carrying a hot drink. Good size if you like a lot of tea!

I bought this for my mum and she likes it, but there were marks on the lid which didn't come out with cleaning and are actually etched into the lid. It's not a major issue and so returning it and ordering another one wasn't worth the effort, but thought it might be useful for people to know.
