I wanted these for mounting brolleys to light stands, and at first they seemed to have everything I needed - including a clamp hole for the brolley . . . except when I went to put it on the light stand, I realised the stupid brolley clamp was pointing in a useless direction. I could not get the brolley infront of the light, but on one side of it. And because it was at the side of the light, the brolley would not steer the light. It simply orbited round the light. In the end, I put it in the drill vice and gingerly fed an 8mm drill through the plastic, to create a new brolley clamp hole at 90 degrees to the cast-in one. I have to conclude I have no idea what this thing was designed to do. The most obvious job, mounting a brolley, ain't it. Look upon more as a starting point. Get yourself a brand new - sharp - 8mm drill, a very heavy vice, and drill carefully!

Absolute junk. Don’t bother buying it, it is rubbish

Unfortunately, this product is almost entirely made of plastic. The plastic serrated 'jaws' that should secure the rotation when you clamp the unit are serrated on one side and flat on the other so don't actually help with locking the product in place. As a result, it is not fit for any heavy usage and slips with even light weights attached.I ended up getting a much heavier duty item that was 5*

Really pleased....does exactly what I wanted it to do...holds a boom arm for a reflector!

Awful. Fell apart on first use. Don't buy.
