We love this power chair. When we got it I checked all of the bolts and nuts to make sure they were all tight and only a couple of them were a little loose. I was trying to decide if I was going to send it back because in the description it said that it would do a 12 degree incline max. Our ramp is 7.5 so I figured it would work. I also liked that Rubicon is here in the US and is a US company. The chair does say made in China - but anyway. When I looked at the manual is said that 6 degrees was the max incline it would handle. I had it all packaged ready to go back and I decided to call Rubicon and ask them. they were great. they got back to me right away. I thought I had bought from them directly through Amazon , but looked closer at my invoice - and it was a different company selling Rubicon. But they didn't care, they helped right away and told me that it should be fine for our ramp and if not to send it back to them. So, we tried it , and yes it works great. I like the fact that it is foldable and easy to store. We really like the footprint and we have tried it outside on several different surfaces - and it seems to work really well. My husband is just under 200 lbs - but it's rated for 300 lb - maybe at that weight it would be slower- i don't know. The joystick takes a bit to get used to because it is very sensitive, but someone complained that the slowest speed was too fast, Once you get used to the joystcik you can literally crawl if you want to. And it is pretty peppy even up the hill on our street. Also, one of the foot rest clips got a couple of pieces out of it.- when it fell on the floor. They sent me two new clips immediately. So, they have been really great and very responsive. I would definitely buy from them again. Our only suggestion would be to make the anti-tip supports in the back about a 1/2 in to 3/4 of an inch shorter. they are not adjustable and They do get caught sometimes - like on our speed bumps on our street and on one spot on our ramp. But other than that - great.

We purchased this wheelchair for my husband. He can walk, but The number of steps he can do each day is limited. He uses this wheelchair only on days where we know there will be a lot of walking. We bought it in January 2024. We did not put it together until February. We used it once twice to test it out in February and March. On one of those two trips, the metal from the foot holds broke, and so we had to find a way to keep the footholds from swinging out. Then we used it in April for a week – long vacation in New York City, and it did great—went everywhere and held a charge for most of the day, But it did run out of power a couple of times and I really wish that we had a second battery because it does take a while to charge.Since then, we have only used it occasionally. I would say a total of 6-8 times since April vacation. The last time it worked was July—it was used for a day-long event. We brought it home, charged it and then in August, took it with us to a museum and the motor had stopped running. We have tried everything to figure out why the motor is not running, But we cannot troubleshoot the problem. The power turns on, But the chair will not go. I estimate that we got 20 days use out of this chair.It was really great when it worked. We stored it in a dry, warm place and took good care of it, and were careful when transporting it, so I don’t know why it stopped working. I am disappointed.

I have so many positive things to say about this chair. I was so worried because some of the reviews but rest assured this is a quality chair that will get you mobile again quickly!! I have been to Disneyland all day and the battery indicator didn’t even budge. The controls are very smooth and responsive. There is no delay to learn. Th joystick is comfortable and can be moved on with side.I’m currently using this chair on a trip to New York. It handled the airport with ease and upansn down the streets of Manhattan, the subways and even took it off the beaten path on grass. There wasn’t a situation the chair didn’t take. Battery life is amazing.The only downside - I wish the seat was a tiny bit wider. I ordered a memory foam seat pad for added comfort. The directions that came with the chair were wrong but customer service was very responsive. I have one little piece on the footrest that busted on my trip so hopefully they can get me the part right away.
