love this stuff! way better than Dr. Bronner's!
I had gotten used to Dr. Bronner's b/c I can easily buy it at Trader Joes. There are things I don't like about Dr. Bronner's, but was willing to accept because I wanted a product completely safe to my body & the earth: it was not always the sudsiest (you adjust to this, you just have to use a lot more than you'd use of normal dishwashing soap or shampoo), I didn't like the smell (of *any* of the scents, even the "unscented"/baby formula smelled a bit unpleasant to me), and it leaves a bit of a residue at times (though this isn't really the biggest deal to me honestly).Well, finally sick of not loving the smell, I decided to search on Amazon for something with a natural earthy smell (I hate minty and tea tree oil and eucalyptus smells, also sicky-sweet smells like almond---I like woodsy smells, like cedar & sandalwood) and just took a chance and bought a gallon of this stuff. And now I'm a convert! I'm so, so, so, so happy with Oregon Soap Company, because all of these issues I had with Dr. Bronner's are solved! I love the smell (I got the clary sage & fir, it smells like the forest, or a christmas tree, or, as I like to think, a little bit of Oregon wilderness, hehe, that's what I'm imagining as I smell this stuff, so it gives me warm fuzzies). It is SUPER sudsy, where you actually don't need much at all to create a lather (much better for washing hands, dishes, laundry). And (at least so far, been using it a few weeks now) I don't notice any residue or oily/greasy film being left behind (which honestly I think is a direct result of it being sudsier; I almost feel like they've more fully saponified the oils, and maybe Dr. Bronner's leaves some un-saponified oils in their product, which you may or may not be a fan of, but I don't need my soap to moisturize, I have avocado oil for that if I happen to need it, and my clothes, hair, and dishes absolutely don't need it).The scent is quite strong, and if you like it, like I do, that's a lovely thing. But if you can't handle strong scents at all, do keep this in mind before you purchase. It's very important to me that the scents in a product I'm using are natural essential oils, no "fragrance" which can contain all kinds of hidden toxic chemicals, and this one only uses natural essential oils, so if you're like me and artificial scents give you headaches or nausea, but strong earthy essential oils don't bother you, then I think you'll be fine with this. I actually like that the scent is so strong, because since you only need a tiny bit to wash your hands or dishes, you will still get the scent from it when you use it, even with that minuscule amount.I was also quite impressed that, since I'm trying to purchase products that have the least possible negative impact on the planet, they're producing this with renewable energy and paying their employees a living wage. As if I didn't already love the product itself for all the reasons I mentioned above, the fact that it's made in such a responsible way just makes it that much more amazing. So, needless to say, I'm really in love with this product. It's not often I feel this enamored with an ordinary, everyday product that I need for so many aspects of my life, like soap. So glad this company exists and makes it possible for me to wash responsibly. <3

Excellent liquid soap. Made in Oregon
This is a mildly fragrant liquid soap. Works very well when diluted by half.Nice citrus scent. Mild on one’s hands. Highly recommend.I had other liquid soap that caused asthma in a family member. This does NOT!

Superb Soap!
This is a great soap, rich in citrus scent, which can be used for nearly every cleaning need. I use it with our laundry, since the washing machine is hooked up to a grey water cesspool, and the brand-name soaps are not entirely bio-degradable. It cleans superbly, moderate suds in agitation, and leaves no traces! I have used this soap for bathing, as well as shaving, hair-washing, and other personal cleansing. It's on the top of my list!

Great All-Purpose Cleaner!
I really like this soap! It works great as an all-purpose cleaner. My floors and countertops look and smell nice and clean. I’ve even used this to clean the stovetop, walls, and more. This soap has replaced most of the liquid cleaners I use around the house, and I don’t notice a difference in cleanliness. It also doesn’t give off the nasty fumes like the previous cleaners I used!It has a fresh, light scent – not overpowering and not at all a chemical smell. It hits all the high points due to the fact that it’s toxin free, vegan, biodegradable, etc. I also love the fact that it’s gluten-free; I’ve recommended it to my friends with gluten allergies. Very happy with my purchase!

Great soap
This soap smells great and cleans great! I use it for my laundry, in my hand soap, body wash, and so many other things. It is much better than Dr. Bronner's because they don't support any liberal causes all over their labels and it smells much better, too. I will definitely be purchasing this again.

Doublemint work great. It has an herbal minty smell just like ...
We have been using Dr. Bronners castile soap and wanted to try something new and local. I have psoriasis and can't use regular soap for body washing. Doublemint work great. It has an herbal minty smell just like the mint I have growing in my garden. It is very concentrated. I don't use it straight from the container but add water. It is also great for using in the chicken coop. A few sprays gets rid of flys and other insects. There were some reviewers who complained about lack of suds and no protective cap. The product we received did have a protective cap to ensure the product was not tampered with. Castile soap will not be as sudsy as regular soap. This product was actually more sudsy than I am used to and had to add additional water to make it less "soapy". Oregon Soap Company, great job on this product and thank you so much for creating a local and sustainable product.

Like water not soap
I was really excited to find a gallon of natural soap with the oils and moisturizers in it but was extremely disappointed when it arrived. It is super watered down and is uncontrollable coming out of the dispenser, through your fingers and all over the counter; what a mess. Fortunately, it’s not much more than wiping up water. If you can catch and keep something in your hand, it does suds slightly (enough), but after 6 times I find my hands very dry and needing lotion. I’m unaware there is any scent or smell to this; again it’s like putting water in your hand. That said, because it is so thin and runs through the fingers I find I need 3-4 pumps of this whereas others it’s typically a half pump. Thus I’m using up to 8 times more because it’s all ending up on the counter instead of my hands. I guess if I try to find something positive to say: it’s easy to pour into the dispensers, and my counters are getting cleaned all the time, day and night now.I’m not sure what the purpose is of having such a thin solution, obviously it isn’t for washing your hands so I’ll have to see what the heck I can do with it. Maybe I can use it for gardening to get rid of weeds and bugs.
