Hot Designs Nail Art Pens, Glitz/Glam

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my sister, who loves to make nail designs. I am returning it, because I cannot give it as a gift. When I opened the Amazon box, I could tell instantly something was wrong. It had the faint smell of nail polish (which properly sealed polish should never have,) and the paint looked dried out and cracked inside the bottle. I opened the package, and sure enough, the polishes are thick and goopy, gunky, and not even close to usable. Some are dried out completely.I'm unsure whether to roll the dice and try to order again, or just go with a different brand. I will probably do the latter, because I don't want to risk it. Very disappointing, because this would have made a wonderful gift. The size and quantity were beyond my expectations, but that doesn't mean anything if the product is unusable.

I bought this as part of a donation to a children's hospital. I read online that there is typically a higher need for teen gifts and that the girls enjoy doing their nails and having them done. I had it shipped directly to the woman running the toy drive, along with other fingernail accoutrements. But, I had purchased this for myself in a store previously, and I know that it is a great kit. Being able to both polish nails and use the fine tip for nail art is very handy! Personally like the bright colors too! I hope whoever gets this gift enjoys it!

These nail art pens are poor quality and hard to use. Painting my entire nail with this nail polish was difficult because it was very thick and the consistency was not right. Waiting for it to dry took very long and never completely dried since the polish on my nail always got ruined. Besides that, the nail polish was hard to squeeze out of the fine tip and the tip would get shorter by going into the polish container. And to make this even worse, the hot designs logo rubs off and onto your hands after using the pens twice. Don't waste your money on these pens because they are not worth $15. You can buy better quality nail polish at any drugstore.

All of the nail polish is bad. Some of it is gooey and clumpy and some of it is dried out and cracked. I don't know how old this is but it's completely unusable. I was so looking forward to doing nails with my neice that I bought 2 of these and once again, I'm let down!

This comes with a great selection of colors. You can paint the whole nail or use the fine tip for designs. It is very easy to use, clean and stores away great because of the slim design. My daughter's (10 and 11) have been having a ball with this and YouTube videos. It makes doing your a fun project.

They came very quickly. Got them for myself and worked well. the only thing is they take forever to dry but other than that they are brilliant.

My wife told me to leave a bad review for this product, so i will try my best to relay what she told me. Apparently she bought this and it sucks horribly. She says it does not work at all, and one of the applicators broke off when trying to use it. Also, the stuff comes off her nails waay too easy. She said that it is definantly not what she expected, and that all of the claims are false. It is supposed to make doing nail art super easy, and it is not. She does not recommend this.

While the seller was great, and it is not their job to open every package and check it out before mailing. The nail polish in all 6 pens are thick and stringy. A couple are lumpy. They are old and drying out. The blue was glued shut and had to literally be broken open. The blue polish had leaked, dried and hardened into glue.I would buy from the seller again, who delivered what he promised when he promised, but I would not buy anything from Hot Designs again.

Three sets bought for christmas for my three daughters. Not one set had any usable varnish. It was either too dry to do anything, or too thick and 'gloopy' for any sensible application.
