Jag Jeans Women's Paley Mid Rise Bootcut Pull-on Jeans

These Jag jeans have great stretch and I liked all the cuts. However I ordered 4 pair in 2 styles and 4 washes. They each fit differently which was disappointing. I normally wear a 6 in this type of pull on stretchy jean and most other bottoms as well. Here is how the fit went for me: Valentina in Phoenix blue fit very large and baggy in butt and across the front. Returned. The Paley in Durango fit very large as well. I am returning for a size 4, we will see how that goes. The Paley in Ink fit very tight and I could hardly get up over my hips. Returned. The Paley in Anchor Blue also fit very tight and were shorter than the rest. Returned. I really wanted a darker wash so I tried them all. Ink was the darkest wash, followed by Durango and Anchor Blue. The Phoenix blue was as shown a lighter more faded blue. I look forward to trying the Paley Durango in size 4. They make great travel jeans since they are stretchy, leaving room for all the great food you'll eat on the trip.Update: the size 4 Paley in Durango wash was super tight and could hardly get over my hips. Super disappointing. Huge difference in size 4 and 6, fit more like a 2 and and 8. Weird sizing. Not for me.For reference I am 5'7" and weigh 143 pounds and normally wear a 6 with a longer but not always Tall length.

Jag usually runs true however these particular jeans are labeled on tag:8/29, label inside jeans:8/33. Actual inseam from crotch to hem is 37”. Color and fabric are ok.

The accompanying picture with sizes does not show inseam - but 'Size Chart' pulldown under colors and sizes does. All the Regulars are shown with inseam of 33". I'm 5'4" and have always like my jeans a little longer, but these DRAG on the ground when worn with flats.

The waist was too low and the jeans were too slim through the hips for a size 6

I Like the fit, dislike the pant length.

Clothes makers need to start making pants with deeper pockets because women use them for things like cell phones or keys.I would also prefer that they have more room in the legs. I specifically don’t like the “skinny” style and although this one is advertised as straight leg, it is not.

I normally wear a 7/8. I had to order a size 4. And really needed a size 2. If you have bugger hips a 4 would be fine. But if you have narrow hips like me I would go smaller. Cause Once they stretch they became too big.

I ordered the size 12 in both the black and the blue. I'm 5'8" and weigh around 168 lbs and have a 33" inseam with a short waist. I ordered these because I thought the inseam was 34". It is really more like 33" after washing/drying. These are nice heavy weight cotton/poly blend jeans( more cotton than poly). I can wear them all day without them bagging out or sliding down my rear end which is a HUGE bonus with this style and material. The flare is very, very slight. All in all, I like them but would prefer a little more width on the bottom and to be more of a traditional bootcut but I think most ladies prefer the "slightly" bootcut category which these are. I would say when in doubt order a size down unless you have a large tummy. There isn't a whole lot of give in the waist when pulling these on which is great for tummy control but can make it tough to get up over a bigger belly. They wash like a dream but I hang mine dry to avoid shrinkage in length.
