Wow! Warm and looks sharp!
Okay, we're in the middle of a pretty cold winter, with thermometers hovering as low as -5 degrees below zero for days at a time. My old coats were useless against that kinda cold. I'd heard that the newer fluffy coats were the best so I spent a couple of hours looking. I didn't want one that was too puffy, but I wanted something guaranteed to stop the cold. After reading hundreds of reviews, this coat stood out because it is seamless. No stitching - meaning no place for the wind to creep through. The eco filling was also a plus (no ducks were harmed in the making of this coat! Ha!) I trusted Amazon sizing for my profile (5/11 and half x 200 pounds) .. IT FIT PERFECTLY! And I really like the cut, it is very flattering for a poofy. It's keeping it's shape well (even though it came squashed flat in a vacuum sealed airtight double bag. Takes about 24 hours to relax. The temperature was 12 degrees out when I wore it the first time. Wow! The wind cut through my jeans immediately! And within a few minutes, my face began to tighten and burn. Even my gloves weren't up for the job. But the coat... I swear there was no sensation of cold coming through it! At all! I pulled the hood up over my toboggan and zipped the coat all the way up (it covers your mouth. Instant relief!! Lots of pockets. The material is rip stop; very hard to tear. Water just rolls right off it. I have no delusions that I won't have to spray Water Proofing on it before each winter. Nothing stays waterproof for ever.If there's any negative at all, it would be the fact that this coat can not be worn inside! One would be sweating profusely within minutes. Maximum heat tolerance is probably about 45 degrees and if you want to move around, wear a lighter coat, because this thing is built for around freezing or below. Oh, I got it on sale nearly half off on one of Amazon's sale days. Win win win. If you want to stay warm and receive the best quality? AND look great wearing it? This is a very smart purchase! I've been reviewing products for Amazon since 2012.... I put my name on it.

This is the one!
Was just about to spend $300 on a waterproof puffer, and then this happened. What an amazing coat for the price! Not thin at all, very well insulated for the price tag! I am almost too warm just trying it on!! Seems to be legit waterproofed, and material is a more durable feel, not like thin cheaper down puffer coats from Eddie Bauer or Patagonia. Longer cut so tall people this is for you! Make sure and do size up, the shoulders seem to fit tighter than the rest of the coat, but otherwise great fit and cut! Being tall and skinny, I usually hate ordering a size up due to all the extra room I get around the coat, this does not have that issue and seems to be almost a slim fit cut. All seems look incredible. A very well made jacket!! I can’t believe this coat is only $65, probably getting another color just because! BUY IT!!***update***Just returned from a Backcountry snowshoe adventure on Mt. Rainier in blizzard conditions and near single digit temperatures and I was very toasty. This coat is extremely warm but does not have any ventilation. First day I wore it I had a merino wool base layer, a fleece and this jacket and it was wayyy too much heat, I was sweating within 10 mins in a blizzard. Next day I wore just my wool base layer and this coat in 15 degree weather and I was perfect. Also, if you wear snow bibs, beware of excess heat from those as well. The waterproofness is impressive, in snow. Rain seems to be a bit more challenging for the coat, but even in rain, water did not seep in, just seemed to start to soak into the shell on shoulders. The material is perfect, would even make a great climbing jacket as it’s very strong and durable and withstands scrapping and stretching. If they update this version to have underarm vents, it’s a perfect jacket. Still, 10/10 for being so cheap and amazing warm and comfy.

Good cheap winter coat
I returned to the US after living in a very warm country and needed to restock all new cold weather clothing. I purchased this coat to tide me over this winter until I can can get something better at a later time, the price was in the range I was looking. I find the coat much better than expected. Temperature range where I am is at about 10 degrees to low 40's and I am NOT acclimated yet. However the coat keeps me warm, even from the package it looked acceptable, and now that it has lost the initial wrinkles it looks great. The sleeve closures are a bit loose but work well enough, there are adequate pockets exterior and interior. The zipper is sturdy and seems to be well sewn. The down is stable, inside the coat without shifting and giving cold spots, washing instructions are for normal wash and dry. I wear the coat frequently and it seems to be wearing well. At this time I give a solid recommendation for this in it's price range, I think it would do quite well in comparison with many more expensive coats of the same style and materials..

Impressed
I bought one of their rain coats last year and I was impressed so i bought a winter coat. Its pretty solid! It's warm, has draw strings, it really is quite water resistant, recycled material and the price is amazing. The material isnt slick like other puffers, its definitely designed more for being water resistant. Perfect for Oregon coast winters. The armpits are cut a bit high which could be problematic when layering but I bought a size up and it fits perfect with a sweater under it. It definitely is not packable and wont fit in a bag. That being said, its not heavy at all. Quite light for a winter coat. I strap it to the top of my pack when im not wearing it. (I travel by foot full time year round). Got it on cyber Monday for like 58$. It's easily worth twice that.I got XXL and I'm 6ft 220 lbs. The reflective patches are a nice touch for someone who walks a lot.Buy this for the hobo in your life!
