Excellent
This is a great book. As technical as a smart guy would want. So many books dont go in depth but this author does and im grateful for the real knowledge i gained from reading it. Recommend highly.

Boat surveying
Well the author named the Book MARINE SURVEYING,however, he started it by saying that Surveying of class ships is out of scope... and he considers only "boats".I bought the book having in mind some additional advice for who wants to be and Marine surveyor, Not so interesting has the name suggests. Although it is a good book, just not a fair name for it

Impossibly tedious to read.
Author is apparently more interested in impressing someone with his knowledge of physics and chemistry than in the practical knowledge of a Marine Survey. The first part of the book is boringly tedious and burdensome to read. The only thing worthwhile in the book might be the checklist provided if someone doesn't have one, and the second half of the book is somewhat tolerable to read. This is a lousy investment for anyone that doesn't already have a good working knowledge of boats in general. A lot of blah, blah, blah, blah when just blah would have sufficed.

"MARINE SURVEYING" Review
I was given this book to review by the YDSA, being a practising yacht surveyor in Britain. I found it to be a very poor book, written by somebody who, so far as can be seen, is not a marine surveyor but a lecturer in marine ventilation. A colleague who also reviewed the book agreed. It would be of no help, and could be misleading.
