Just, wow
What an amazing sequel to an equally amazing first book, Bring Down the Stars. This story captures everything - love, hate, pain, beauty, family, friendship, hardships and wins, ups and downs, struggles and triumphs. It's raw, real, and hopelessly romantic.

Long Live the Beautiful Hearts
Sweet series! The narration was great, the story was great. I think the only thing that threw me was the fact that he couldn't feel pain just pressure but was still able to be intimate. That is my only complaint, it doesn't seem possible but?? Everything else I really liked and I loved the characters.

One of the most extraordinary, romantic, life affirming stories I've ever read.
I know many readers don't like to read duets until both books release because they're worried about forgetting details while they await the second book. That was never a concern for me with the Beautiful Hearts duet. I remembered every moment, every detail, every frustration and every moment of longing and lust and heartache from Bring Down the Stars. I remembered how desperately in love I was with these characters, with Emma Scott's writing, with this unforgettable story of soul mates and friendship and romance. And I remember the way I was left so bereft as the first book ended. I remember how broken I felt, how anxious and stunned and shaken I was. The first book in this duet was absolutely one of the most amazing books I've ever read and Long Live the Beautiful Hearts not only lived up to the extraordinarily high expectations I had set for it, but far exceeded them.If you're nervous about reading this sequel, good. You should be. It hurts so much to read at times. I can't tell you how or why without spoiling book one, so I'll just say that it hurt to read, hurt to reflect back on where these characters began as children while coming to terms with where life has taken them over the course of this storyline. It's brutal and beautiful and searing in ways I'll never forget. There were moments I didn't think my heart could handle much more. There were scenes that simply stole my breath away, that forced me to close the book a moment and step away to collect myself. But there is so much beauty in this book as well. It filled my heart just as completely as it first broke it wide open. This is a story of acceptance and perseverance and second chances. It's a story of picking yourself up when you never think you'll be able to again and deciding where to go from here. It's powerful and mesmerizing and sweet. There are simply no adequate words to convey my love for this story.Life isn't fair and its capable of stealing away the most precious things. But what Emma Scott creates here with this story is a stunning testament to the fact that life does goes on. Life continues to move and we have to decide who we are in the face of the unimaginable, in the face of grief and loss and despair. This is a story about picking up the pieces after tragedy and it will stay with me always.I so appreciate a story that surprise me, that twists and turns in ways I did not anticipate. At the end of Bring Down the Stars, I thought I knew what would happen next. I didn't. Long Live the Beautiful Hearts shocked and surprised me. It gripped me. It broke my heart and it pieced it all together once more. It reminded me that no matter how dark things seem to be, it'll be ok. Long Live the Beautiful Hearts was absolutely AMAZING. It's extraordinarily hopeful and uplifting, and it's joyfully romantic all at once. It was exactly what I needed in this moment and didn't even know it. For anyone facing anything in their life that feels insurmountable, that feels unjust, that feels devastating, this story will shift something in your soul. While this story surrounds a completely different set of circumstances than anything we might be facing, the message is clear. It'll be okay. We just have to decide where we want to go from here. We just have to decide if we want to be someone who drowns in hopelessness and despair or if we want to keep moving, keep pushing to find the light again in the After. On the other side of heartache is hope and Emma Scott and her beautiful, exhilarating, life affirming duet will never let me forget that.

Long live this beautiful story--one of the best I've ever read! FIVE PERFECT STARS!
I'm in tears as I write this, wishing I had Weston's ability to express my feelings in words filled with poetry, because nothing less can convey the exquisite beauty of this remarkable story. My writing talents may be limited, but I do recognize perfection when I read it, and this book is perfect in every way! It easily ranks as one of the best books I've ever read, and I've read thousands.I began Book 2 of this duet with trepidation, because I hated the way Connor and Weston manipulated Autumn with their continual lies and deception in Book 1. Sure, Weston supposedly did this out of love for Connor and Autumn, but love based on lies isn't worth much, as these guys should've realized. When Book 1 ended with Weston and Connor deploying to the war zone in Qatar, I felt compelled to read Book 2, fairly certain one of them would die in battle as a solution to this tangled love triangle. To be honest, I hoped Weston would survive, because he and Autumn were destined to be together forever, right? The author wrote Book 1 in the Before--before her life changed forever. She wrote Book 2 in the After--after the unimaginable happened. The effects of that experience are evident in Book 2 of this duet, ". . . a story of transformation and overcoming tremendous adversity." The adversity is heartbreaking, but the transformation stole my breath and touched my soul. I have no words. Only tears.Anyone familiar with my reviews knows that I usually include a plot summary. Not this time, because no words of mine should spoil this gem. However, I do want to include some quotes from Professor Ondiwuje, Weston's mentor and the true hero of this story, at least in my opinion. "Forgive yourself for deceiving her," he says. "Let it go. Pledge to start over again and this time, never give her anything but the truest words of your heart. Because you both deserve that." "Where there's love, there's hope of forgiveness." And finally, "Fight for you. For who you are. Fight for yourself and what you love. Who you love." As the author writes in her note to Book 1, ". . . the first lesson the After taught me is that love is all that's ever mattered; now, then, and forever." So true.I especially want to commend the author for her research into paraplegia and the many challenges faced by paraplegics, including the ignorance of those who take walking for granted--including me. Thank you for lessons I needed to learn. My fear that this story would not end well was not justified. The plot concludes with a perfect HEA, making all of my anxiety and tears worthwhile. But OMG, what an emotional journey it has been! I had mixed feelings about Book 1, but Book 2 is simply magnificent. Please don't miss this unforgettable reading experience. Five perfect stars, and highly recommended!

An EPIC Story of Love and Friendship
Long Live the Beautiful Hearts is the highly anticipated final part in Emma Scott's duet series #TheBeautifulHearts and boy what a powerful conclusion #allthehearts #allthelove #allthefeels.Highly developed, complex relationships line the writing canvas in which the protagonists continue their epic dance of love, embracing heartache, forgiveness and friendship. A story of hope, a story of strength, and of fear, tragedy and forgiveness, a story of finding ones worth and emerging from inner demons that can rule your life. It unfolds with depth, sincerity and heart. I basked in the sheer quality of the storytelling during which my heart was fit to burst with the emotion I felt at the hands of Scott's characters, the friendships, the romance and the love. I cried sad tears and happy tears and tears just because it made me feel so much during moments where emotion reached exquisite heights because of the way the story had been intricately developed over both parts of this series.I fear saying anything more may spoil a reader’s experience and in reality, nothing I say can truly depict the quality of this romance. It is, in reality, so much more than a romance and it most definitely is a novel that needs to be experienced with each turn of the page where each rich layer can be peeled away exposing an exquisite story that sees its characters convincingly deal with life. Poetic words took my breath away along with the beauty of the prose. Emma Scott is a powerhouse talent in the writing world. Her storytelling feels fresh and unique, and this series is firmly stamped with her own heart and soul and inspired by words from her daughter, making this a very, very special read.

Beautiful
A beautiful second book, amazing love story, gripping and heart breaking. The end was a bit "schmaltz" but a highly recommended read.
