I recently purchased the Universal Bicycle Transmission Line Bicycle Shift Derailleur Cable and Brake Cable Kit with blue brake cables, and it has been a fantastic addition to my bike. I wanted to add some customization, and this kit delivered functionality and aesthetics.The blue brake cables look fantastic and add a nice color to my bike. They perfectly match my new, wider handlebars, which were too wide for the original brake and derailleur cables. The extra length of these cables ensured a perfect fit, allowing me to complete the installation without any issues.The quality of the cables is excellent. They are durable and provide smooth, reliable performance. Shifting gears are more precise, and the brakes are responsive and consistent. The kit includes everything needed for a complete replacement, making the process straightforward and hassle-free.I am highly pleased with the Universal Bicycle Transmission Line and Brake Cable Kit. Bought and installed already, working perfectly. Needed to buy a specialty cable cutter, nothing I had was strong enough. Mind you there are two sized cables and housing, the thicker of the two is for your brakes. They give you enough to do two bikes with the double package and 5 times as many bits as I needed (cable ends, bumpers, rail connectors) so great value for the money. The blue is a bright radiate blue, looking great on my silver bike. Easy to install if you take it one cable at a time, remove the old cable but leave the housing alone and replace from one end to the other cutting housing to match your old and replace the bits in the order you take them off in. Never done it before and I was able to figure it out easily by taking my time with the first couple (you may have to YT how to get the cable out of the levers and shifters if you don't know how, they're made to be serviceable so you *can* do it yourself), after that they go in in just minutes with the proper cutters.

It took two tries to get a kit with no defects, but the second kit is quite nice. One of the shifter cables in my first order had a strand that was not correctly wound, producing a noticeable bump on about 4" cable. The replacement that I requested did not have any obvious defects in any of the parts, and the kit contained all of the parts that should be there.The cables are strong and have a small amount of stretch after they are installed, but nothing extreme. The housing is well made and can be cut with a good set of cable cutters. The plastic ferrules seem to be well made and the silver ferrules appear to be some sort of chrome-plated metal, perhaps the copper that is mentioned in the description. They are not aluminum, which is good because I've had problems with aluminum ferrules corroding and bonding with steel in a way that makes the entire assembly unusable. These should not have that issue.Overall, it appears to be a good kit for the price. Just be sure to check all of the parts when you receive it to ensure none are defective.

I had low expectations for an inexpensive set, but these had only one shortcoming: I did not notice that the cable housings were heavier (for the brakes) and lighter (for the gears) until after I had cut a piece of one off. The cable housings are teflon lined, a high quality feature that I was not expecting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE.

Worked fine, can't complain. Swapping out cables due to installing taller hadle bars.Update:These cables seem to continually stretch. I've replaced cables in the past, and have never had issues like this. Constant adjustments are needed after oner two bike rides. I'm finding better cables.
