I live in an area (Bay Area) thst experiences frequent blackouts due to overhead electrical problems (PG & E utility). I must have access to substitute lighting quickly. I own 3 of these lamps - the best I have ever used. The light is bright yet defused. The charge is long. So much better than predecessors I purchased at big box hardware store. The handle makes moving the lamps around so easy. Perfect for me.

I wrote this review first (then changed it to a 5 stars- read below):“Looks great and when I set it up first after charging I was very impressed: different lighting nuances from low to strong and I like how it looks.That said, after a whole evening when it had to shine , I charged it again and it went off. Turns out it cannot charge properly for a reason.Would have liked to exchange it for a new one but I am now outside the return period.”Then, I got in touch with Tubicen customer support and they answered immediately. Not only did they apologized for the issue but they also immediately refunded the item AND sent me a new one right away! Talk about customer delight!!I am super happy with my new lamp (the old one really had an issue though now that I see that the little charging light lights up on this one) and will definitely buy more from the company, given the chance.

My wife and I enjoy this lamp outside in the evening. This is the second one we have purchased. Makes for a romantic evening with a glass of wine. Also provides light when the power goes out if you keep it charged.

Probably the most useful battery lamp I've found on Amazon so far. I have a rooftop in NYC with no lights so needed something convenient to carry and put on a table. Gives decent light at highest setting, more so than smaller lights I've bought in the past. Construction is decent I like the carrying handle that feels like it'll last a long time.I'd buy on sale more so in the $40 range. I think paying $50 or more is too much.

In my bedroom there are limited outlets and old wiring which makes it hard to run extension cords (plus, they're just a pain). I wanted a small lamp I could keep by my bed that wouldn't need to be plugged in, would be small and durable (in case I knocked it off my small nightstand), and could be turned on and off without having to pick it up and use a switch on the bottom (which seems to be the case for many rechargeable lamps). This presented as the perfect solution! I bought one to test out, and quickly bought another for my husband. The battery seems to last around 2 weeks before needing a recharge — that's with nearly nightly use, often for at least 10-20 minutes for reading before bed. To add to my praises, I decided to 'splurge' to buy the full gold model and they are honestly beautiful and look great in our bedroom.The only thing I found strange is that the two I purchased function slightly different — mine you touch and hold the 'switch' to turn off, and my husband's cycles through all 4 light levels to turn off. Not an issue at all, just a strange inconsistency.

The USB-C charging port is not well seated inside the housing making plugging it in to charge an exercise in frustration. The charging port both floats around and pushes back beyond the grip of the USB-C end. It takes jiggling the cord and sometimes propping it up to try and maintain a connection.
