Although I appreciate the intent of the authors, it’s not clear what age group is the target. The illustrations are very nice and appropriate for age 3 to 6 but the narration is written in a way that parents can’t read this as is to a toddler. My niece is turning 5 and has advanced reading skills for her age and I was hoping to give this to her but the writing is very dry and academic. As is the case with many Islamic books about the Quran ostensibly for young children, the writer simply relates the stories like you would tell an adult without some way of drawing the child in. And I’m not talking about the destruction of previous societies which many of these stories are about. Even besides that, the narration needs some kind of “hook” for children rather than just narrating the facts of the stories.

There is no coherence in the story....Moreover, the stories starts in "past tense" but yhe next sentence comes up in present tense....The book needs a lot of revisions....
