As always a great overview of projects from Martin. Visually enticing so overall an inspiring read.

Beautifully produced book. This is not a book to give method as to how to make mosaics. It is much more about how he approaches design. There are things to be learnt hear. However many of his examples use fused glass of which he is an exponent. I found this Frustrating and tantalising as, going on the same exploratory journey would involve buying new (second-hand) equipment. Investigation of enamel kilns means this would be expensive, when I already have boxes and boxes of other tesserae, found items etc. Having purchased, I won't send it back, but learn from the design chapters.I am sure someone who has the scope to use fused glass techniques would find this inspirational. Pleasant writing style - would have given it 3.5 stars if an option. (Bought as 'good', so reduced in price. You wouldn't know it had been opened!)
