I now have two of these - one in the kitchen and one in the utility room. This dispenser is well made and the weighted base keeps it in place when tearing of kitchen role. The "one sheet a time" mechanism works well when that is what is needed. Provided you like the brushed stainless steel finish [it matches my oven and taps], then it is, for a kitchen towel dispenser, quite pleasing in appearance. Easy to load and takes the larger "blue" rolls too.

Best Kitchen Towel Holder I have ever bought, pretty tall for my kitchen roll, but it’s very sturdy, stays put when you want to get some off, I can do it with one hand, looks great in my kitchen and you can use it outside at the table and it still doesn’t move or fall over, great value for money.

Well, it does the job I suppose and holds the roll well enough. The arm keeps the roll tight (ish) and in place, but the description mentioned one handed dispensing ... nope, can't tear off one piece one handed. Absolutely have to hold the roll to tear a piece off. But honestly, that doesn't matter. It's sturdy, heavy enough so doesn't shift about and looks good too. Happy enough for the cost.

This holder is now sitting in my kitchen. It holds the roll firmly and it makes it easy to tear off just one sheet. Sorry I never bought one earlier.

The media could not be loaded. It feels really sturdy, the arm on the holder is strong enough to hold the roll in place, the base is heavier than the rest and it has a spongy texture which makes it adhere to surfaces well, you can obviously rip the tissue with one hand but sometimes it rips right on the holding arm so you then need to twist the roll about an inch, but you can do all this with one hand anyways so in my mind its no big deal

This is a decently made product with a heavy base. However, the spring that puts pressure on the roll is simply not strong enough to allow you to tug on the roll hard enough to tear off as sheet. To be honest no kitchen roll holder could have a spring strong enough as it would just be too difficult to pull the sheet out.When the roll is new and thick it does a decent job but as soon as the roll gets thinner the spring loaded contraption can not hold the roll.At the end of the day this is a decent kitchen roll holder, it's just not really capable of facilitating a one-handed tear as advertised, which is the reason I bought it. Having said that I have realised that you need to yank the sheet in a downwards motion to tear it away, which works reasonably well for most of the roll.
