Back for my third one!
I bought my first one of these grills 'way back in 2013! I was instantly hooked. What I love most is that you can use the ENTIRE cooking surface - there is no such thing as a "hot spot" or "cold spot." The entire cooking grid from edge to edge is always a consistent temperature. So even though it seems smaller than those big, rectangular grills, you can actually cook a lot more food on it!Well, my first Char-Broil finally fell apart after six years of almost daily use, so I bought a new one and it has consistently performed just as well, and for just as long. Time to retire it and replace it with one of the same. What I just can't believe is that they still make the same grill after all these years. Usually companies make something good for a few years and then replace it with a "newer, more modern!" version which turns out to be far lower in quality, in order to Maximize Shareholder Value. I hope they'll still be making this model in another six years when I wear this one out!

🐷 🤤
This is fantastico. Previously I had the Char broil 3-in-1, definitely loved that twice did the whole turkey inside of it, but this is way better because I live in a small apartment now and I don't want that huge rusty charbroil barrel thing. This gets super hot super fast, propane tank is lasting way longer, and if you actually know to cook (which I do) and how to clean a grill (which take 40 seconds once a month) you'll absolutely love this. Clean grill equals clean delicious food 🥰💯

This is a great grill for 1 - 4 people
This is a great grill for 1 - 4 people. I live alone and had a large Weber that I never used because it took so long to prep it and get it to grilling for one person. I gave it away and bought this little guy and glad I did. Took me a hour or to put it together, seasoned the grill grate with vegetable oil, fired it up (it lit the first time) and let it go as instructed until it stopped smoking. Turned it off. The next day, I went out there with some real nice fresh polish sausages, it lit up the first time, let it heat up for a few minutes, and grilled the sausages. No sticking and the sausages grilled to perfection. nice and juicy. A couple days later I took and nice 3/4 in New York Strip. It fired up[ the first time, I let it heat up a bit, and put the steak on it. Grilled each side about 5 minutes, nice grill marks, and let it rest for about 5 minutes. I also sliced a nice spud in half, and rubbed olive oiled on it and cooked on the warming rack, it cam out great. Then I cut into the steak, talk about juicy!!! This grill is a savior, I am grilling again and loving it. If you are having second thought about buying this baby, do it. I am having fun grilling again. I've done pork chops, on it as well. I also made a Rueben sandwich on it and it was great. Patio Bistro is the proper description for it. The uses are endless. It's not just for brats, dogs, or burgers. I also have the char broil smoker deluxe that I smoke ribs and stuff in. this is a great buy.

Best grill to bake bread
I love everything about this grill except for the infrared grill itself. I had one before and cleaning it was a nightmare. I ordered a cast iron grill to replace it. I had already planned on replacing it before I ordered it. In the early 2000’s they made the grill with a cast iron grill piece I don’t know why they ever changed it.

Taste is great for the price. But grill doesn't consistenly work for me and concerns about safety.
This is the first grill I have ever purchased. So my knowledge is limited. All I can say is that the steaks I cook on this grill are very good. Just as important, it takes little time to cook them. If I throw mini bake potatoes, onions, mushrooms, and jalapenos on first, then add the steaks later, I can have a meal prepared within 20 minutes. The steaks alone are prepared in under 10 minutes. As far as putting this together, I am fairly incompetent at building anything even with directions. It took me two hours, but I also had two young children stealing parts and tools from me during the process, which is probably the reason it took as long as it did.************************************************Updated review. I purchased this grill in late Jun 2015. I was using it about twice a week. As I mentioned above, the taste is excellent. Roughly six weeks after using it, I started to experience what I think are called flareups. Sometimes when I started the grill, there was a loud explosion like sound. When this happened, the ignitor failed to light and I wasn't able to grill. It happened unpredictably. But it was concerning enough that I called Char-Broil. They were kind and supportive on the phone, and sent me a new burner tube for free.Once I installed the new burner, I had no problem with the grill for another three weeks. Then, the flareups happened again. I'd say that about 70% of the time I could grill and there would be no flare-up. Sometimes there would be a flareup and the grill still lit, so I was able to cook. But I felt a bit apprehensive using the grill, due to the loud sound and once or twice fire shot out briefly from the top of the grill. I finally stopped using the grill two weeks ago after a flareup happened with so much force that the grate was sent about a foot into the air and flames shot out from the top.I am hesitant to mention any of this. Looking at the reviews for this grill, I appear to be the only person having this issue. Maybe it is entirely user error. But I'm following the instructions in the manual. And, 70% of the time I have no problem. It's just that the other 30% of the time makes me weary to use the grill. Given that it's gas and the possibility for a worse outcome than what I've experienced so far.I have no complaints against Char-Broil as a company. In fact, within the next week or so I will place an order for one of their infrared electric grills. Although the taste won't be as good, I would feel more comfortable using their electric grill.

Works well and fast
This BBQ is great. It cooks almost too hot. But so far I enjoy it very much. It heats up so fast and stays hot inside. I almost wish there were a vent on the top, because even on the lowest setting it's always upper heat. The assembly was a bit tricky but not impossible. Would purchase this product again.
