Anne of Green Gables is one of the most beloved books I’ve read. It sets the stage for all the other books in the series with a cast of wonderful characters, two of the most notable being Anne Shirley and Gilbert Blythe.I LOVED every volume except Windy Poplars (skipping the romance pages with Gilbert was a big mistake because that’s all I really wanted it to be about... The feud with the Pringle’s, Little Elizabeth and the dialog of the old gossipy ladies would have been less tiresome if only Gilbert could have been in the mix).Anne and Gilbert aged beautifully from House of Dreams all the way through to war torn Rilla of Ingleside.I found this set of books to be the perfect escape from all things Covid and political. Delightful!

I got this book set for my Aunt. All of the ladies in my family love these stories. The covers are so bright and happy!

This was a great collection of stories that I really enjoyed reading. Was quite long but I finished and was very happy it was free of charge. The descriptions were so clear and realistic it I could picture just what the area looked like and seemed beautiful.

My daughter LOVED the whole 8 book series!!!!! L.M. Montgomery knows how to attract readers of any age with her books! Fell in love with the characters!The 4th was sort of slow, but picked up in some parts.The romance was beautiful, and the drama between anne and Gilbert, when they were young was hilarious!!! It inspired my daughter to look into some of her other works and she found the Emily of new moon series.love them alot too!The movies were not a disappointment, and followed closely with the storyline!I recomend these on the interest rate for 11 and up!

The books are so good! My favorites are probably the last 2 books=) Also, as one if the other reviews says, the Anne of windy poplars is pretty slow and boring, but that's okay because the others are great!!! Totally recommend! Fyi, if your just buying them for the edition of the cover, I think all the fronts are and look very nice:) Hope this helps!
