Nice. Top is hard to get off. Twist slightly and then I use a rubber grip to pull it off which I also bought from Amazon. Maybe a younger person would not have any trouble getting top off. LOL.

I love these Mont Marte Signature Acrylic Paint Pens, 12 Piece, they are Waterproof, and Suitable for Most Surfaces. Bright colours. Excellent paint pens. Highly recommend.

These acrylic pens come inside a cardboard box and each pen is encased in tight plastic warp plastic so it does not dried out before you get them. The 12 colors in this set are mostly on the lighter pastel shades except for the black. The pens are quite fine, more like a regular pen and best for writing and doing fine outlines or line work. Can be used on a variety of materials but best to sample test first. I am currently using these for finer details and writing in rock paintings. Have not encountered any blobbing of paint as of yet probably due that they are so fine point and the flow is Ok once it gets started. Ink does dry quickly. I do clean off the tips after each use. The paint is water based. Have used them for some touch ups in watercolor paintings. I have several sets of acrylic pens in different brands. For the number of pens you get in this set (only 12) they are the expensive side.

I've used a broad range of acrylic paint pens and a lot of Mont Marte supplies. In terms of quality, Mont Marte has yet to let me down and these follow that trend. When I compare them to my other paint pens, they are definitely better. It's a great pack for a beginner artist, or a nice gift for someone creative. Acrylic paint pens can be used to draw on a lot of surfaces (yes, even paper).What stands out about these pens is the fine nib. Most paint pens I have, have very chunky nibs and as a result you can't do fine detail. These are wonderful for writing or even painting small details. The colours are bold and beautiful. Some acrylic paint pens are a nightmare to 'get started', but these are so simple, a brief shake and just press and hold and you'll see the paint start to flow.My only negative would be the price point, but you get a reasonable number of pens and you can't quibble with quality here. Budget seekers might look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a quality paint pen set, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one.

The colors are vivid and vibrant and tips are very fine and high quality to achieve perfection that I want. Colors are water-proof and you an draw/write on wide variety of surfaces such as paper, cards, plastic, canvas, metal and bottles. This makes these pens very versatile for wide variety of applications.I am very pleased with it. You cannot go wrong with it. Recommended!
