good to use , price saving compared to gillete

I purchased this product about 3 weeks ago now and have used it several times. I was a beginner to safety razors so was apprehensive about cutting myself. Was also not sure about the quality of the razor and whether it would rust. After seeing several great reviews of the razor i decided to purchase both the razor and the brush from Pearl.This is quite easily my best purchase on Amazon. The razor is excellent for beginners and gives me a great shave. The fit of the blade inside the razor head is perfect and does not need any manual alignment. It's heavy and easy to use. The stem of the razor has a gnarling so it doesn't slip from your soapy hands during a shave. The build quality and finish is absolutely brilliant and there has been no signs of rusting over the last 3 weeks (and my bathroom is a bit damp always).Overall fantastic product from an Indian company that has gone international and is super popular. I'm planning on buying several more of their razors and build up a collection. I'd recommend both their closed comb and open comb razor as well. Once you get the hang of it, there are not cuts and it's a lot easer to shave as well.

Razer quality poor

In this world of startups , when some newbie companies start marketing and packaging products on basis of funky names and fancy colors with absurb prices for the laughable value provided by them and absolutely basic products, it annoys people when they actually get the product.But.. !! But... !! Old has not lost its essence and loyalty. I am crazy about some old school products who don't rely on fancy names and packaging and don't try to stipulate exorbitant prices from you, who always ensure; you get the best value and you are satisfied for the decade. It's very difficult to please me, however this is one of the best safety razor I have ever used. Perfect Metallic with a Perfect weight, you feel the gravity. Amazing feel , amazing grip and again, the gravity is no brainer.Very simplistic packaging and a subtle name.Looking at the quality, I find this to be INDIAN MERKUR.I can review and refer this to anyone who is fan of wet shaving .. !!Keep up good shaves !!

Long term review after using it for over a year. I was quite happy with this after upgrading from a similar style safety razor from a no-name brand long time ago. It was the right kind of weight that it felt stable in the hand giving confidence to the shave. But after a year of use the threads holding the stem to the blade attachments wore out. This was not expected for what seemed like a highly rated razor for its construction and build quality.
