Hartz UltraGuard Pro Topical Flea & Tick Prevention for Dogs and Puppies, 5-14 lbs 6 Monthly Treatments

This product is easy to use and helps me to protect my Siberian Husky. I really like that it has individual applicators so I know exactly how much to put on his back. He has tolerated the product nicely and it seems to protect him from ticks and fleas. Will purchase again.

Last year we had a massive flea outbreak in our kennel of seven Basset Hounds. We tried nearly everything and had even sprayed the ground for anything remotely flea-like. Eventually we began looking into drops and found these. Our problems ended soon after.This year we found a flea on one dog, ordered the same drops at the same price, and treated all of our dogs using half doses. Then washed to bedding. No fleas here anymore. For the money these are very very good and our local pet store sells them for nearly four times the amount.

Followed instructions to the letter. Product would not come out of the tube. Checked to be sure it was punctured and it was so not sure what the issue is.

Good value for the price, but still not sure of the effectiveness. My dogs didn't have fleas before treatment, and still don't, so I guess it works? Regardless, I like that I get 6 doses per box for the same price for 2 of some other brands.

Great product and great price

Product appears to work as intended as have had no issues while using it, but ultimately not sure if I will continue to use this in the long run. While it is a good option for the cost and ease of application, the product leave the pups fur slimy/oily around the area it was applied and beyond. It had no apparent scent, which is good but it’s not like it’s just excessive as it doesn’t wipe off. It give his coat an almost wet look to it and will stay that way until a good bath. In order to make sure the application is effective, I don’t want to wash him too soon after it’s been applied so generally I choose to leave it like that for about a week. In the end it was a tough call to rate it just three stars as I think the product does work in protecting fleas and ticks, but since it results in that appearance and needing a good bath several days later to get the residue off, I can’t really give it more than three stars. Maybe it’s works better on other breeds that have different coats, but not with my pup.

I have been using Hartz UltraGuard Pro Flea & Tick drops for my dogs for more than 25 years and it works great and is one of if not the cheapest product of this type. O tried a big name brand F....L... once and within a week my dogs had fleas, but with Hartz UltraGuard Pro Flea & Tick drops they have never had a flea or a tic on them. Highly recommended!

I bought this product because of the low price but after using this product my groomer noticed white bald spots where the topical flea treatment was applied. I am now weary of all HARTZ products after this experience.
