If you call yourself a true ban find fixer upper car enthusiast you need to read this book. There is no other quite like Rob for this type of fun and adventure. Buy it ! And his other books. You will never look at mechanical things the same again. Great read that’s also a FUN READ.

As a Lotus-junkie, I really enjoyed Rob's story of his Europa rebuild!

I just finished the book, which I bought directly from Rob Siegel. I very much enjoyed the descriptions of the rehab process, with its trials and tribulations. I learned some good tricks! The one downside is that the Facebook posts that are included are in really small font. I did not end up reading all of those.Overall, a great read, and worth the small price!

This is not a book about restoring a lotus Europa. It's a succession of whining and Facebook comments often berating the car and it designers when most of the issues the writer encountered were the result of his poor decision making and procrastination. We've all heard the apocryphal comments about Joe Lucas, Prince of Darkness and Lotus, Lots Of Trouble - Usually Serious, but the people that comment on FB are mostly incapable of screwing in a light bulb by themselves and this book is probably 80% FB remarks.To add insult to injury, my book started to fall apart the first time I opened it. This was a band new book when delivered. The binding glue is poor. By the time I diligently read and skipped my way through to the conclusion, most of the rear pages had come loose to the point I can't even comfortable donate it to anyone and frankly wouldn't anyway. Even the B&W pictures are poor quality. It's not work $25. I'd say more like $5.

Over 500 pages filled with snarky, humble bragging, and likely edited Facebook posts from the author and his friends. About 100 pages of interesting content about bringing a long dormant, finicky, ill engineered British car back to life. I really like Rob’s other books and he’s a wealth of knowledge but this one’s not for me.

Author was rather self absorbed. Spent too much time talking about himself rather than the Europa. If you find his jokes amusing then you'll like the book. However, if you're looking for good technical info on restoring the Europa, it's very limited.
