If youre like me and upgrading the spindle on your cnc, youll probably be recommended this a lot, and honestly theres a reason for that, the standard motor on the cnc is 7k RPM, this is 20K and so a major improvement, if you want to feel the full effects of that, this will need its own power supply as it takes a fair bit, but it can still be ran at speed without just having less torque to it, the nut and collet provided is alright quality but safe yourself the hastle and buy one of each individually, youre buying a spindle, not those parts and so may be slightly off and make noise, which is why Ive given it a 4/5 on accuracy, as the vibration from that makes it majorly louder, as well as the added speed of course, but still having this spindle at such a low price has made milling softer materials so so much easier and better, with it even milling aluminium at a push (this is all without its own power supply like I said).So overall this spindle will get your job done, and done well at that, it is still a budget spindle, but is a damn good one and I totally recommend it.

These are standard motors and good to have a spare as accidents happen.

Works well as a drop in replacement for the original that came with the CNC, it's so noisy!

Cracking little spindle

Worked fine for 37 days the vibrating violently. Checked collet nut fixing mount everything ok when turned manually the spindle grinds. Is after 30 days so says cannot return so how do you get warranty repair on this product normal channels are just sending me round in circles

This spindle is a great upgrade for a standard 3018 setup. No modifications are required to install it. I simply removed the stock unit and replaced it with this. I'm now able to cut twice as quickly.Very pleased with this purchase. Please note that this spindle is loud. But this is something you should expect as it's running at more than double the speed of the stock spindle.

Item is good but it is the noisiest motor I have come across. So high pitched. I would advise you find another one.

I decided to uprate the stock spindle and found it no probllem as the Prover 3018 already has the uprated power supply. It's actually a lot quieter and less vibration than my stock motor and certainly cuts faster with plenty of power takes this machine to a higher level.Mine certainly has no sound or vibration issues as others have commented on installing this upgrade.
