I used them once - although not on watercolor paper ...
I used them once - although not on watercolor paper, so perhaps that makes a difference. I did not find them to lay down color very well. The tips seems rather hard. Perhaps I have to work on my technique, as I am no expert at watercolors...

Nice pencils and case
Watercolor pencils are so much fun! I love drawing and painting and have been having a blast with these pencils where I feel like I can do both at the same time. I'll draw a a picture and color in the blank spaces. Then I'll go back over the pencil lines with a wet paint brush to smooth everything together to my desired effect. If I want really dark color lines I'll dip the pencil in the water before I draw on the paper. If you've never played with watercolor pencils you really should try them out. This kit has a nice assortment of colors and came in a sturdy tin case that keeps them organized neatly. They appear to be good quality with good pigment to create beautiful colors. The wording on the tin case is written in half English and half Chinese (I think). So they're probably made oversees, but they arrived at my door quickly and work great thus far. I received these pencils discounted for my review, but these are my honest thoughts on the product.
