Fresh & tasty
These arrived very fresh. A few stuck together, but that just meant I got to eat 2, but count those as 1 (IYKYK!) I loved the flavor, tasted like a caramel apple to me, albeit sweeter. My husband did not care for them at all. He thought they tasted like wax coated in sugar - go figure. But he’s not a big fan of candy corn, so there is that.

Inconsistent quality
Brach's candy corn and Autumn Mix is yummy and high quality candy, but the bags I've received from amazon sellers are inconsistent in quality. I think the problem is improper storage (or shipping). The candy may arrive melted and clumped together as if left in high heat. Or it smells and tastes like soap, perfume or cleaning chemicals, probably absorbed from scented candles, air fresheners, cleaning products, etc. I've tolerated mild damage (a bit of yucky perfume taste or melting), but when it's really bad I get a refund. We can't return food, but we also shouldn't pay for defective items, so be sure to contact customer service if needed. I notice in one star reviews many people don't realize that even if returns aren't allowed, you can and should still get a refund if it's damaged. For the hugely inflated price here compared to a fraction of the price in local stores (which only sell these seasonally), even more reason to expect good quality. I wish they'd store/ship smarter to avoid damage.

Disappointing
These caramels were disappointing. I couldn't figure out why until I looked at the ingredients.Real caramels--if you make them at home--are made from butter and heavy cream, in addition to sugar. The ingredients in these are listed as: Corn Syrup, Sugar, Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil, Skim Milk, Buttermilk, Whey, Calcium Carbonate, Salt, Artificial Flavors, Lipolyzed Butter Oil, Molasses, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative).Forget the artificial flavors and preservatives--that's expected in candy that's going to sit on a shelf for a while. The main difference is that instead of butter there's hydrogenated palm kernel oil and instead of heavy cream, they use skim milk. There's probably a higher end, more expensive caramel candy available somewhere and I guess this is probably a "you get what you pay for" situation, but this sure isn't the delicious, rich candy I was hoping for.

Always fresh,sooooo yummy !
This always stirs child hood memory's of candy corn, the wonderful smells of fall, warm wood fire in the fire place, hot cocoa with mini marshmallows, hay rides, Halloween carnivals, party's, and trick or treating. Now that I've had my little nostalgia trip down memory lane, about the product. These delicious mellow cremes arrived well packaged and on time. It was nice to find them at the Brach's store on Amazon as you couldn't hardly get them elsewhere or if you could they were very over priced! The Brach's store had them at an excellent price and they arrived on time, well sealed and packaged and oh so fresh and delicious. No complaints here. I would highly recommend this product and this vendor ,and I most definitely will purchase again!

ARE YOU UP TO THE CHALLENGE?!
Still one of my faves..but what in BLUE BLAZES has gone wrong with the wrappers? I swear it's like an evil genius designed a deranged dexterity challenge in each and every one of these little monstrosities. How long can you drool before giving up on the plastic sheathing? I'm usually fairly patient and unusually good at manual dexterity tasks but I swear to you.....these candies are on the verge of being shrink wrapped for eternity..so for this one reason I'm being generous taking off just one star. Thank goodness I only eat one or two a day. I can't imagine unwrapping a whole bag for caramel apples like in the olden days. I'd lose what little mind I still have. Good candy but good luck getting to them. Oh, and don't grab a scissors or you'll inevitably end up with tiny shreds of plastic in your mouth. I know. Gross.
