Smilex Products
quality Smilex brushes, the toothbrush itself is fantastic and I consider it an extremely well made product that does what it's advertised to do.

Didn't work as well as the originals.
Brush heads didn't seem to work as well as the ones that came with the toothbrush. I don't think the ultrasonic was working and now I can't even get the replacement Brush Heads

Replacement Brushes DO NOT FIT
These replacement brushes do not fit onto the toothbrush. They show the Smilex logo but packaging is completely in Japanese. Unless I'm not understanding something about how to attach them, they don't work. Too bad because I have no idea where to find replacement brushes now...

I have been using this brush for one month & there is no way I know if its working. Except for making sure every-time I brush for at least 3 minutes! I do not even know if there is ultra sonic, I just have to believe because I paid $150 for this. Its made in 'Japan' which makes me feel probably its not a scam.

Smilex Manufacturing temporarily Shut Down 2/27/2018
As of February 27, 2018 Smilex manufacturing has been stopped, but will resume sometime in the future. I got an email replay from Tools for Living after inquiring about replacement brush heads being unavailable, and when they expected to have them. Anyway, for now, it seems to be a wait and see what happens mode for now.

Replacement Brush Head problem.
I love this toothbrush a LOT. But when I ordered the second set of replacement heads, they didn't fit the brush. There are two tiny 'tabs' opposite each other on the bottom of the shaft which prevents the brush from fitting. Also, there's a 'pedestal' which swivels a bit to the right. This swiveling pedestal is not on my original brush. Also, the first replacement set I purchased were bi-colored, blue in the center and white on the outside. Can anyone tell me what's going on? I would hate to think that a $150 brush is unusable a little over a year after being purchased. I did purchase this brush from Amazon in November of 2015. It's a terrific brush, but I really want replacement brushes that fit. I'm going to try to re-order and just hope that I get the right brush heads.

I love this toothbrush and specifically wanted ultrasonic to help dissolve bacteria in deep pocket locations. In just the first week I notice an improvement of mouth pain. I will know in a couple of months whether my gum pockets are improving or not when I go back to my dentist. I am seriously considering Lanap treatment but if my gum pockets improve over the next few months I may put it off and continue with my ultrasonic. It is a much slower alternative but also much much less expensive.

Doesn't lock onto brush
According to Amazon, I bought the Smilex AU-300E toothbrush. These brush heads don't lock on like the old ones, so they slide off as I brush my teeth.Looking at the available brush heads, it seems the AU-300D brush heads do have the lock, but I didn't really consider it a problem when these were listed as being for my brush. Not sure what that's about..
