Review edited as the metal welds broke under 6 months old. Looks great. Very sturdy. Unfortunately it didn’t take long for our squirrels to realised if they launched themselves at it then they could put enough wait and twist on it for only the lid to stay hanging up. It is also no longer straight when it stands up. But so sturdy that we can’t bend it totally straight again! To solve this I have tied string onto the cage and though the lid loop. In hindsight I should of used a lot more string then I did. But this is a bit of a faff. Didn’t want a caged squirrel proof one so our woodpecker is able to feed also. But it is a massive hit with the birds when it is up and contains food!

To be perfectly honest, I have stashed this away for use next autumn, by which time I think the greedy, fat pigeons will have destroyed a couple of my existing feeders by swinging from them with already full bellies. I'm hoping that this one will fare better as it is metal! I will try to remember to edit this post once I know how it's doing next autumn and winter.

Bought this as my plastic one was bitten through by squirrels and useless, survived squirrel attacks and the birds seem to love this as there is access to food all the way around the feeder, 100% recommend.
