Great roof rack for Wrangler hard top
Just traded another Wrangler owner for a hard top, and bought this roof rack immediately after. Super impressed with the look and performance of this roof rack. Install was easy and the materials feel like good quality. Took a three hour drive to OBX with a 9ft longboard strapped on top and had zero issues. So glad I can finally utilize the roof of my Jeep without getting one of those ridiculous cage racks. Yes it has some wind noise but it’s a Wrangler, so who cares? If you want a quite ride go buy a Subaru

Nice racks! Sturdy, heavy duty and look great.
Nice roof racks. Easy installation - It took me about 30 minutes to install. My Thule ski/snowboard racks were compatible and easily fit in the attachment grooves. I like the rubber strip on the top; this will come in handy when attaching paddleboards in the summer.I highly recommend this product!

Poorly designed product with terrible customer service from Rhino Rack
Summary – I’ve had a very poor experience both w/ Rhino-Rack’s products and their customer service. I am sharing this in the hope it will help that company improve its product design and support teams. I had a set of their crossbars mounted to my 4 door Jeep Wrangler that failed, causing $1,200+ in damage to my equipment. The main problem was that while parked in my driveway, a wind storm completely snapped the legs off the 1 year old cross bar with my empty rooftop box mounted on top. The catastrophic failure of the bars sent my rooftop box flying through the air and it fractured in several places after landing on the concrete (see images for failure points). My next door neighbor had the exact same box on his car in the same wind storm with zero issues (he uses Thule crossbars). Rhino-Rack’s initial response was that their warranty didn’t cover wind events which is a bit ironic since highway driving on a CALM day will easily produce 80+ mph winds. They offered to send me a replacement leg but when I asked whether it was redesigned, they never responded (as far as I can tell, it’s not redesigned). I’d not mount those crossbars on my roof again – if that failure would have occurred on the highway with cargo, the outcome could have been considerably worse. Rhino-Rack did eventually send me a replacement leg, but as you can imagine I have no confidence in remounting this to my vehicle. I took the time to look at competing crossbars, and they all are much burlier in the legging area that failed on the Rhino-Rack (e.g., OEM bars, Thule, Yakima, etc). The second issue was that the roof rack came with a special allen key designed to prevent theft. The problem was that one of the roof rack bolts became too tight to unscrew with the key. The tolerances of the provided HAND TIGHTENED key were so poor it stripped out the bolt when trying to remove the unbroken rack. The only way to remove the bolt was to drill it out. Rhino-Rack told me this “happens sometimes” and never offered a replacement bolt, apology, or even acknowledgment that this is a problem. The rack should come with an allen key that’s designed to better work with their bolts vs a “Dollar Store” grade tool that felt cheap and barely worked, even when brand new.The third problem was the customer service. Despite several phone calls and many emails, it still took Rhino-Rack a full two months to send me a part that was already worthless without the replacement bolts. They never asked what an acceptable solution would be, and blamed me for overloading or previously breaking the rack on an impact (note initially they told me they didn’t cover wind events). I would never buy or allow friends or family to buy products again from Rhino-Rack. Overall, I found myself extremely disappointed with slow responses, lackluster resolution, and being out of pocket to the tune of $1200 worth of parts. Lesson learned; I will choose Thule or Yakima for the replacement parts.

Nice product for a reasonable price.
I matched this product up with the Rhino ski/snowboard holder to carry surf roads. Installation was fairly easy, just a little tricky getting them spaced correctly. I have since been on a trip to the beach nearly seven hours each way and had no problems. Seems wind noise is minimal and everything stayed secure. Very happy that I bought this product. Install was on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4-door.

Not perfect but gets the job done.
What can I say, these are 80 lbs. rain drip rail racks, useful for light duty gear that can be strapped to the top of your Jeep. Not hard to assemble or install, but an extra set of hands is nice to have to do the job more quickly. Not a lot of additional wind noise which I appreciate. One small bolt was missing, and after contacting the manufacturer, they shipped me the part. Rubber bumpers that go into the rain drip rail, fall off easily. Not intended to be left on long term. Made of Aluminum, and plastic, with stainless steel hardware.

Fits JKUR (4dr) Hard Top. Used in conjunction w/Reese Towpoers Canoe Loader. 88 pound rating
This rack has a quality appearance and includes reasonably well designed hardware and extruded aluminum aerodynamic (quiet) black painted cross bars with a embedded textured rubber non-slip strip on the top of the cross bars to help keep loads from moving. Has an 88 pound rating. We are using this rack with an Amazon Sourced "Reese Towpower 7018100 Canoe Loader" on a 4-dr JKURDesign details, the four black composite uprights (feet) two on each end, of each of the two bars, are sturdy and about 4 inches wide, with a trim cover piece and a steel, black powder-coated lip piece. The feet have a straight rail that fits securely in the upper (bottom) of the rain gutter slot, and four lip pieces clamps securely under the JKUR hard top rain gutter just above the door frame top (no interference with weather stripping) using two stainless anti-tamper hexhead screws per support, that screw into "barrel bolts" in supports to allow proper pivoting/alignment of the clamping hardware (as it is tightened) when installing the racks. A small t-handle tool with blue tab handle is provided to tighten (install rack) and loosen (remove rack). Our rack arrived in good condition with ALL required hardware to properly install it. All parts were sheathed in protective plastic to prevent surface finish marring/scratching.We are using this Rhino Vortex rack to carry an inverted ultra-light Kevlar (50 lbs) canoe on the roof along with a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, Amazon sourced, "Reese Towpower 7018100 Canoe Loader" which is a rear receiver mount device that allows convenient one-person pivot-loading, and provides an additional safety/capacity rear support member augmenting the two Rhino cargo bars.
