Finally a decent quality container with a real stainless steel spigot!
I used to have a different design glass water container that had a real stainless steel spigot that unfortunately broke some time ago. Every time I’d see another one in a store, they’d always have those cheap chrome looking plastic spigots that to me just weren’t worth the price. Luckily I came across this glass container and loved the fact that I could use not only for cold brew, but for cucumber water, tea made with fresh mint leaves, homemade lemonade, and I just tested it with homemade pear and apple cider and it worked great! I’ve had absolutely no issue whatsoever with it leaking and it was simple to put together, just got to be careful not to over tighten anything because the glass may crack. I do wish the lid to it was a slightly better quality, but so far I’ve had no issues cleaning it and it has stayed on the container pretty snug. It also fits on a shelf in my fridge which I was afraid it wouldn’t (doesn’t take up much room either). Love the size, love the quality, and loved the price for what I got.

This Quality Product Holds Up
I bought this gallon cold brew coffee jug a year ago. I waited to rate it until I knew if it was well made and would hold up. After a year of constant use, I can attest to its quality. Plus, the coffee is delicious. My wife and I can brew enough in one batch for 3 days plus (that is two 12-oz. coffees per day). The stopcock has never leaked, the glass container is solid, and the metal mesh core is adequate. The mesh core must be washed with soap and warm water about every two uses to keep the holes open, but that is not a problem. We have found cold brew coffee to have more complex flavors than pour over. We brew it in the fridge and heat what we need each morning in the microwave to about 146-150 degrees for best flavor. Perhaps best of all, we can mix cheaper coffee with better coffee and still get delicious results.

Well-made but takes some experimenting to work for cold-brew
Was excited to try this. I've been making cold brew in two French presses and pouring the finished product into a pitcher. This product would seem to allow me to make more (about a gallon) in a single device. It is well-made. Nice solid glass, good spout and seals, nicely made filter. I expect it to last a long time before developing cracks. For that reason, I kept it despite of the following problem:I go for the 1 Oz of coffee grounds to 10 Oz water. If I put 6 Oz of grounds in the folder and then pour in 60 oz of W water, there is about 2" of coffee grounds sitting above the water line. If I use 8:80, there are about 4" of grounds above the coffee line. This means a portion of the coffee is not included in the brewing process. If you like a stronger ratio, like to make cold brew concentrate, it will be even worse, as you'll be adding more coffee and/or less water.Since then, I've experimented. If I fill the filter with about 9 Oz of coffee, which is about the max, using a slightly smaller course grind than what I usually use, and then fill with water to the top - about 110 Oz, the cold brew tastes good. I like the product - I think it's well made, but it takes some experimenting to work for cold brew.

Hard to clean around the nozzle
The hole in the glass for the nozzle was kind of chipped when we got it and screwing on the nozzle freaked me out cause it made some uncomfortable crunching sounds but the rubber washers held up and I rinsed it well and it works great. Opening the nozzle was difficult at first but it loosened up with use! There is some coffee that seeped into the area between the glass near the nozzle and the rubber washer so I would say that area is difficult to clean without taking the nozzle off, I will probably wait to clean it until it’s a bit too cold for cold brew so I can take it apart and store it for the season instead of being afraid I’m going to break it or enduring the weird crunching glass sound when I screw the nozzle back on. The glass hole makes me nervous but this was quite affordable and has been holding up well if you don’t take it apart a lot! I put about 3 cups of grounds in and fill it as full as I can with water, make sure the grinds are fully wet and no dry pockets, and this usually lasts us about a week! The filter usually comes out after a day or two and gets dumped into the compost and rinsed, if you leave it in for the whole week you might have some bitter brew!

You need this!!
Let me just tell you this is a game changer on drinking cold brew coffee. It’s so easy to clean and so easy to use. My husband and I are coffee lovers and this is a game changer. If you’re debating on getting one, I would just say get it. It’s really helped me not wanting to go out and get coffee every single day. I love iced coffee and this is my favorite thing I’ve ever purchased. 10000000/10

Excellent Value
I originally had a cheap plastic cold brewer and was dissatisfied with everything about it, so I bought this. This thing has legitimately improved the quality of my life. It's easy to eyeball the coffee and just pour the water right in until nearly full and it's perfect every time. It's super easy to discard the grounds because of how open the top is, and it's easy to clean. Assembly was easy enough, and it's been easy to maintain. Overall an excellent value.

Exactly what I wanted
The spigot will need assembly (was a little scared of that at first) but it was simple enough to figure out (no detailed instructions on it though). First brew went very well. No leaks!

Broke on first use
I was at fault for breaking it. But it shouldn't have been so thin either. Screwing in the spout, I broke the glass and never used it. Be careful!!
