Great Boots
I ordered the Western Chief Kids Waterproof Rubber Classic Rain Boot with Pull Handles for my child just in time for a bunch of rain that we've had and I'm so glad I did!First - these seem like very well constructed boots. They're a bit clunky, though my kid can walk in them (she clomped around a bit at first). My daughter wears orthotics and there was plenty of room in the foot of the boot for her orthotic + her foot: no squishing. This has made it possible for her to wear her boots to school on rainy days and come home still comfortable. Big win there.I feel like these are a great value at under twenty bucks, what I paid for them. Also, the red boot is pretty and also gender neutral so her little bro will be happily wearing these when she grows out of them. Win-win.

Fits a wide foot!
These are my go-to boots for my grandson, he is 3, been buying a pair for him every time his feet grow since he started walking. He calls them his barn boots; he lives in town :) ! They are quality made, easy pull-on tabs and easy to take off.

We Love These
This is our 2nd pair of these fabulous rain boots. Our 2 year old is super active and we live in Washington state, so these little dandys are perfect for us!!!! He is extremely independent, so the fact that they have little boot straps where he can pull them on himself is an added benefit. Sometimes he gets them on the wrong feet, but he doesn't seem to notice. They must be comfy because if they weren't he would surely let us know. Even on days where he wears his canvas VANS sneakers, he always asks to bring these boots along with him for the day. I think that they are well-made, true to size and easy to wash mud off of. He loves to jump in puddles and they seem to protect the pants, legs and feet from a dance in the mud. I will be ordering more through the years and would recommend these to anyone with a cray, active little one xoxo

Good looking boots, well made, a bit heavy. Runs a little big.
I've bought these rain boots for my son before and he grew out of them before we had any sorts of problems with them. They're heavy duty and thick soled. Unlike other boots we've tried, the little 'handles' at the top dont tear off after 10 uses. They are a little bigger than similar sized shoes, but most rain boots I've bought for myself and my son have run a bit big. Put two pairs of sox on if they're just a bit big. At the time of this writing my sons feet are pushing the limits of a 2.5 shoe but a 3 is too big. I bought these in a 2 and a 3 and the 2 is just a little large on him. The 3 is humongous. Those will be next years boots I guess. The only downside I can mention is that they're clunky. Very heavy, thick and not super flexible in the sole. So I wouldn't see walking a long distance in them. But my prior and current experience is that they should remain intact and waterproof for at least one rainy season. One thing I appreciate is that the soles don't have the type of tread that can hold a lot of mud. We have that thick gluey clay soil and it can really cling to an aggressive deep tread.

Perfect for my boys.
So stinking cute!!! (And yes, as other reviewers mentioned, they are really stinky at first. I washed the outsides by hand with just some dish soap and water, and it helped cut down on some of the odor. Smell seems to be from the sole, so I'm guessing it's either a protectant, or just the rubber itself. Ought to dissipate soon enough.) I bought two pairs for my boys, 7.5 & 3.5. So glad I got them identical boots. Got the 10 for my youngest, who's the size of an average 5 year old and wears that size in regular shoes. Though they're quite big, he won't outgrow them tomorrow. (Probably run about average, but my boys have wide, duck-shaped feet, so it's a little narrow, but not uncomfortably so.) Got the 12 for the eldest, who's nearly outgrown his 12 regular shoes, but since these run big... (And they'll fit his brother next year!) They are a little pricey, but seem to be well-made. Don't yet know about durability, but for puddle-jumping (or playing pretend cowboy, fireman, etc.) they seem to be a hit. Can't wait for the next rainy day!
