128GB MLC Sync NAND Flash with Super DRAM Cache mSATA Internal Solid State Drive SSD

not compatable with windows, dead on subsequent testing, vendor states drivers will not be commoning

I purchased this storage to pair with the following enclosure and RAM.Jetway Intel Celeron N2930 Quad Core Dual Intel LAN Fanless - HBJC311U93W-2930-BCrucial 8GB Single DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL11 SODIMM 204-Pin 1.35V/1.5V Notebook Memory CT102464BF160BI used these components to put together a pfsense firewall with content filtering. I know this setup is overkill for a firewall but I'd rather have too many horses than not enough. This SSD clipped into place easily and without issue. It is very compact being mSata so it works well in builds that don't have copious amount of space available. After the initial build, I put win10 on the system which installed very quickly and ran Prime95 in torture test mode for 3 days to ensure the stability of the platform (primary test for RAM & CPU stability - implicitly the MOBO too).Finally I formatted the SSD once again and installed pfsense. I have not had any issues thus far. However, I have not attempted to benchmark the SSD to find it's high water marks for random and sequential operations at different operation sizes. I also have not tested TRIM (unmap) to ensure it behaves as expected.For my OS and application it is more than fast enough. Now, I'm hoping for longevity. Time will tell.

I bought this for my micro media computer. I wanted to have a SSD dedicated to my OS. I was worried I would run into boot issues; read other reviews on Google stating they couldn't get Windows to boot from these types. I decided to try and I am happy I did. i installed Windows 7 Pro and the boot speeds are instant.
