The Best Tape out there.
Out of all the tape I've purchased this has best stick and longevity. This also works for people with sensitive skin. Definitely worth the price paid.

A miracle in a box.
I'm September I fractured my patella and needed emergency surgery.I was in a straight brace for 10 weeks before I could begin to re-learn to walk.In November, the orthopedist said that I would "probably stop using the brace in 2 to 3 weeks."When I was still using medications, crutches and a brace at Christmas, the doctor revisited his prognosis to "6 to 12 more months" of pain and limitations. He endorsed my continued use of the brace if it "gave me comfort," but his PA snuck into the room after he left and said "that's really going to retard your recovery."So I went braceless as often as I could, and wore support later in the day when I was crippled by swelling and pain. I used the full leg immobilizer, a weight distributing hinged support, a Velcro fastened knee girdle. Ice, heat, topical preparations, physical therapy, rest: nothing seemed to move my healing forward, and many things set me back. Then a coworker suggested kinesiotape. My two-pack of tape arrived three days ago, and my life has turned around.Following a video on YouTube, I applied four strips of tape, total of 30", and immediately felt relief. The kinesiotape guides my knee cap to track in place despite the swelling and distortion from the fracture and surgery. This makes extending my leg more comfortable and removes the primary source of renewed edema. The compression also reduces swelling.Unlike braces, the fit is custom and precise for me. It is comfortable, and even comforting. And unlike all those devices, the tape does not slide out of of place, putting pressure over my tender incision. Plus, it is not too tight when I sit with my legs flexed. The tape is slim enough to fit under my clothes -- even nylons -- so I no longer have to where bulky pants and long skirts to cover things. And the bright color is fun -- byebye to Goth black every day. While my first attempt at placement was great, curiousity (perfectionism) led me to experiment with some improvements, so I can also tell you that removing strips, is also painless if you stretch the tape while peeling it (kind of like "3M Command Strips.")In all, I could not be happier with this product. It decreased the impact of my injury, in a matter of moments, and accelerated my healing in a matter of days.I am so thrilled, and as a physician assistant myself, I am wondering why I never knew about kinesiology tape before. This is the closest thing to a miracle I could expect from a shipment on Amazon Prime.

Comes Off Easily in Water & When Contacting Other Surface Materials
I'm going to preface this by saying if you are dealing with a new injury, you should chat with your doctor about what you're doing and planning on using this with. This is one of those "do what I say and not what I do" moments. Because I know sometimes life doesn't give you the best choices, and you have to make do and make it through regardless of what is going on with you, I do think this *can* be a useful product. I purchased it because my Achilles tendon is pretty much junk. The last surgeon who worked on it told me I should take up swimming. Hopefully you're a better listener then I am ;) But anyways, life handed me a set of circumstances I can't really get around- namely, an amazing special needs son who has extensive care needs that requires strength training to provide the best support for. Then my daughter said she wanted me to do a 5K with her, and there is no way I could tell her I wouldn't. Because if I take risks for him, I have to take risks for her, I just do the best I can to moderate them, which is I'm sure why you're interested in this product as well. So the 5K training is actually what I purchased this product for, but I have tried it for many different uses in and out of water over the past couple of weeks and I have some things I want to pass on.First off, this doesn't adhere terribly well over contoured areas, and it can come off pretty easily in water. I cleaned off the areas it would be applied to, scrubbing them down with alcohol even before I apply the tape. I have made sure to follow typical KT application protocol for Achilles tendonitis. It stays on well enough if you're wearing a sock over it, but the edges can roll up if edges of your leggings or socks rub up against them. Today I did strength training bare foot with this stuff, and it was rolling up on the part that was on the under side of my foot just from catching on flooring. I have taken it into the pool to do therapy work with my son, and it was most of the way off and totally flopping off my foot by the time I was out...and I wear a full body swim suite that has an ankle strap, so it was even supported and protected a bit from the drag of the water against it as I moved. It will make it mostly through a shower, but enough of it will be peeling off that I will just finish the job because it's of little use at that point. When we first started the 5K training, my motto for her was we are training you to complete not compete, so we started just walking a mile, then walking 2, so I wasn't seeing heavy impact, and I did notice that it did help my tendon feel less cranky afterwards. Now that we are up to interval training for her where we jog a little bit and then walk a bit, I'm noticing that it does keep it from being as cranky as it would be without it for that activity. Because I forgot to put some on before my job last night, and let's just say my tendon woke up this morning feeling like an angry toddler. Now, from what I've looked at, studies don't really support the therapeutic benefits of this, some researchers ascribe the benefits to the placebo effect, but...you know, pain is always subjective and that really makes it hard to I think provide any sort of meaningful analysis, just my opinion on that though. Because the type of people who use this product successfully are probably the "soldier through it" types that would grit their teeth and get it done regardless. I personally felt like it did add an extra bit of support and relief while it stayed on, but I have yet to make it through a single day without it coming off before the day is done. Some activities hasten the demise of it considerably. So I don't have experience with other brands of Kinesiology Tape to compare this to, all I can say is that in my experience, this comes up easier with things rubbing up against it, it doesn't stick well to some curved areas, it comes off really easy in pool water, and it may not make it through your shower or your bath. But I do feel like when I'm using it for the 5K training stuff my ankle is noticeably less grumpy afterwards, and that's mainly what I wanted it for, but I do think it's not enduring as well as this type of product is marketed to generally. And again, yes, I know I shouldn't be jogging with my Achilles tendonitis, but chances are you shouldn't be doing whatever you're doing either, so we'll just cut each other some slack because we both know we're doing the best we can with what we've got to work with. Just heads up on the coming off bit for this tape...
